We had a wonderful stay at Applebloom B&B for five days when visiting Kent for a garden trip in June.
We had the Toile room which was nicely done with very good beds and a beautyful and luxureous bathroom overlooking The Weald of Kent. Also, a nice lounge with couch and many interesting books was available to us.
Breakfasts were very well prepared and catered for our special dietary wishes.
The hosts are a lovely couple Helen and Alec who welcomed us with special attention and gave all sorts of advice on places to go and where to hve teas and were to dine out. This stay helped to make our visit a truly unforgettable one

My friend and I have just had a 3 night visit to Apple Bloom. I had the Toile Room and my friend Sally had the other delightful bedroom with an African theme. Helen and Alec are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble - from providing elderflower cordial when we were wilting on the hot afternoons to booking tables on our 3 nights at 3 delightful local establishments and providing written directions on how to get to each of them! Breakfasts were truly delicious with a fruit salad bursting with local and exotic fruits, finished with delightful heartsease pansies, any combination of cooked breakfasts one can imagine, creamy yoghurts and yummy home-made Seville Orange marmalade. We were able to keep a bottle of wine in the fridge for when we came back in the evenings and Wi-fi was great and made picking up messages great. Helen and Alec had interesting tales to tell about their lives and we had many good conversations about where to visit in the area etc. They were always interested about where we had been. The house, rooms and bathrooms were absolutely spotless and the beds very comfortable. I cannot praise this B&B enough. Sally and I could sit in the garden and the sunsets and skies were magical. The view from the large bathroom over the fields in stunning. Many thanks Helen and Alec for making our holiday memorable.

Needed somewhere local for a single night and this B & B fitted the bill perfectly. We stayed in the "toile" bedroom with a very comfortable bed. There is an amazing view from the back of the property - truly picture postcard of the Kent countryside. Across the landing we had a large modern bathroom with separate shower and bath. A delicious breakfast of home made fruit salad with natural yoghurt followed by scrambled egg on toast with a couple of rashers. My husband so enjoyed Helen's home - made marmalade. Alec and Helen are perfect hosts and Helen went out of her way to help us. Conversation flowed easily and we could of chatted a lot longer than we did. Would highly recommend.

Helen and Alec are wonderful hosts and their house is really a lovely place. We had such great time there that we hope to come back again! Every morning Helen prepared us an excellent homemade British breakfast very very very tasty! Alec gave us so many information around the area, like how to get to places and what to see or eat. We enjoyed very much the conversations with them on gardening, cooking and opera. The beauty of their garden made our stay even more attractive! We really wish we could stay longer…We would definitely recommend everybody who visits Kent to come stay here!

Had a couple of nights here so I could visit some of the beautiful gardens in the surrounding area. Position was perfect. Hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfasts were superb. Bedrooms and bathroom spotlessly clean. My only slight niggle was an iffy WiFi, but as I was away on a little holiday it wasn't a problem.

We spent a wonderful 6 days at Apple Bloom Guest House which is an idyllic cottage on a country lane outside the village of Hawkhurst. It is owned by Alec and Helen who are very welcoming and attentive hosts and they made us feel very much at home.
There was a lot of choice for breakfast with a very delicious fruit salad and local apple juice. The bed was so comfortable and there were gorgeous views over the Kent countryside from the bedroom, there was even a sitting room for the guests
Lots of wonderful gardens and places to visit locally, it is in a very good situation
We would definitely go back to stay if we had another holiday in Kent
