This hotel offers high quality accommodation, food and service. Although prices had risen since my previous visit a year earlier, I intend to stay there again in the future. In the summer dinner may be eaten outside overlooking the river and hotel gardens in the impressive setting of the mill's grounds. There are set meals at differing prices, plus a la carte. There is ample car parking in the grounds, close to the mill.
We have stayed at this Hotel on two previous occasions when travelling down to the Alps. Whilst the rooms could do with updating as mentioned in other reviews, the restaurant offers a varied menu and the food quality and service is excellent. One of our party is vegetarian but the menu offered was varied which is unusual in France in our experience. The hotel location is rural, by a quiet river and quite perfect even on a cold January with -8c temperatures. The rooms were well heated and comfortable despite the outside temperature. The hospitality and restaurant of this hotel is for us the over riding factor for returning year after year.
We stayed here on our way to Provence. A young family owns and operates this place amid the corn fields. Very sweet gardens and lots of areas for children to explore. We had a nice stay and enjoyed the folks we me there as well.
Lovely old converted mill on the river. The rooms are really in need of some decoration, lilac walls & red bedspread are very 60s but saying that our room overlooked the river and it had everything that we needed in it. We took are dog & she was allowed in the restaurant both for dinner & breakfast. Dinner was delicious although my duck was slightly over cooked, I had asked for it to be pink. Staff very friendly & very relaxing.
One comes here for the food, the situation of the hotel, and the ambiance. The rooms are very ordinary - and very French with toilet in closet, not in main bath. Size of the room was adequate. Bolster on bed rather than separate pillows. I found staff very friendly. So come here for delightful food (out on the terrace the evenings I was there) and tranquillity. Put up with the very ordinary rooms.
