Congo Bongo is one of those rare places that looks exactly like it does in it's pictures. It's beautiful, clean, really well managed and absolute paradise. I organized a group of 17 people and found that Dan and the CB team were incredibly accommodating and made the organizing piece quite easy for me. My favorite part was how authentic it...

The few days in Feb. 2014 we spent at Congo bongo were very interesting for us. Daan, the owner was friendly and relaxed, staying in the "long house" at that time of the year very nice as there were almost no bugs. Jogging along the beach early morning was wonderful and the long house resembels more a ship deck than...

Lovely location. Charming, private and very comfortable accommodations. Excellent food. Really great folks Don and Marisol. Fabulous wildlife viewing including monkeys, hummers, great birding all around among beautiful canopy trees and ornamental plantings and just a few steps to gorgeous beach.

We recently returned from a 3-night stay at the Big House. What an absolutely incredible experience! The beautiful sights and sounds from the jungle enveloping you as you sit in the open living area is a sensation you won't soon forget. The walk to the beach is a treat itself. When the jungle parts and you see your beautiful, private...

After much research, and almost deciding on another location before my wife and I came across Congo Bongo, we made the decision to spend 6 nights at the Dream House mid-Sept.. With all the beautiful pics and videos we watched about Congo Bongo, we were expecting paradise. We got that and much, much, more! We arrived about 8 PM by...

My husband and I just returned from a week lost in paradise at Congo Bongo. I can't say enough nice things about this property and it's wonderful owner's Daan and Marisol. We stayed in the Palm House, and it is even prettier than the pictures. The jungle surrounding the property is lush and beautiful and very well kept. Everything is...

My family (2 young boys, ages 4 and 7, along with my husband and myself) just returned from 5 wonderful nights at the Palm House at Congo Bongo. Our stay in Manzanillo was definitely one of the highlights of our 2-week trip in Costa Rica and we would return in a heartbeat. Daan and his family, the owners and operators...
