This is an excellent B&B (as long as you like vegan food). Very comfy rooms, good bathrooms, well-stocked bookcases, excellent breakfasts (and dinners if booked in advance), very nice people running it. 10% discount for 2+ nights for all who arrive without a car. Luggage fetched from the station by bicycle trailer. Secure indoor cycle storage. BUT - it is... More

A warm welcome, clean, comfy accommodation, delicious & interesting food (loved the build-your-own muesli) and helpful advice from knowledgeable, congenial hosts - one of whom doubled as 'bicycle repair man' and amply mitigated our towbar disaster. We couldn't have wished for more from our memorable, relaxed 4-night stay at The Barn, made all the more enjoyable by Sandra and Richard's... More

I have been meaning to write a review since last August when we visited. This place is a gem. We had the most lovely stay at the barn and a fabulous time in the surrounding areas. The hosts are so kind, attentive and friendly and their dogs! How lovely it all was. The rooms were spotless and welcoming, the food... More

We had a weekend at this lovely B and B recently, and couldn't have asked for more. The vegan food was delicious and imaginative, and pretty much all home made including the bread, soya milk, etc. Lots of options for breakfast, and also a three course meal offered in the evenings. This was great for us, not only because it... More

Had a lovely week at The Barn, beautiful, imaginative food - even enjoyed by my non-veggie mother who loved the breakfast pancakes. Richard and Sandra were very welcoming and a fount of knowledge about the area and nothing was too much trouble. Beds were very comfortable and room and bathroom spacious. Very good value for money, expecially if travelling by... More

We live in Hampshire and wanted a short break to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We had a lovely two daystay. The Barn is ideally located -. we were able to do two interesting walks despite the changeable weather. The meals were really lovely. Richard and Sandra serve imaginative, delicious and inspirational food. We are already thinking about our next visit.

Richard and Sandra were very pleasant and nothing was to much trouble, the food was superb and all home made even the soya milk.could't fault anything. Will definitely be going back and would recommend to veggies & vegans or any one that wants to try something different.

Thoroughly recommended! We booked here for one night on our way up from Cornwall to a family gathering in London and oh, how I wished we could have stayed longer! I'm vegan but my husband isn't even vegetarian, however, the 3-course evening meal soon after we arrived was exquisite and the cooked breakfast the following morning was also very good... More

We stayed for a weekend for my partner's birthday and are already planning our next trip here! Richard and Sandra are wonderful hosts, attentive but unobtrusive and amazing cooks! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Barn. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you will be in heaven as all the food is suitable - both breakfast and evening meals were delicious! The location is great as Ashurst train station is just a few minutes walk away, so you are perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful New Forest -... More
