Stumbled across this place by accident. Popped in for pint and sandwich. Great big door step ham and pickle with plenty of salad garnish. Staff very friendly and made my brief visit very enjoyable. Must make note to self to return now u know it's here.

We popped in for a light lunch on a Saturday.quite busy which is a good sign.cosy comfy armchairs and nice atmosphere.had quite a long wait for our sandwiches, about 20 mins but worth it when they arrived.shame they have taken the croque monsuir off the menu as we loved that the last time we came.

Came here last night for an evening meal. Good service, reasonable prices and a great selection of food on the menu. Food was all delicious, hot, well presented and freshly cooked to order. Will definitely come again and can highly recommend for a relaxed eating experience.

had dinner with a friend on a Saturday night and the place was full, so luckily we had booked a table beforehand. Lovely open fires were welcome on a very cold night and we were offered an alternative table in a quieter section of the pub which was nice. Good basic food at a reasonable price; excellent value, friendly and...

What friendly people! HOWEVER - do NOT follow the map on the back of the menu, which isn't clear..... a two hour walk was a tad...

We have eaten there several times, because it is a pub with a good vegetarian menu and very cosy with lovely log fire. In the summer it gets packed with tourists and service is often slow but in the winter it is fine, if you want the Special Board best to go when main chef is there (traditional eating hours)...

Visited here quite a few times over last 3 months. Very warm welcome from all bar staff and very inviting. Have tried a few meals now on the menu and have to say I have never been disappointed. The meals are well presented and served by very well mannered staff. The meals come out hot and very quick on service....

Once again we arranged our annual family winter get together in this gorgeous pub.. There are 24 of us now including children and a dog so a daunting task but not for Freya and the team. We have had the most fantastic afternoon and cannot recommend this pub highly enough. Organising it was easy and every single menu request was...

First meal here and very impressed, popped in the day before for a drink and liked the look of the menu so thought we'd try it. Fun, friendly staff (despite being busy!) The food was cooked to order so enjoyed watching the other tantilising meals coming out before we were served. The presentation, taste and value for money will ensure...
