The breakfast was good. Lovely poached egg, blackpudding... and good cafetiere of coffee. We were in room 15 which was disappointing. Had booked a deluxe room and asked to be overlooking garden but given suite overlooking car park. As said before the toilet flush in this room is very hard to operate. Trying to write a report at desk in...

Nice small hotel, good location and breakfast. Probably would stay again but get a different room, my own fault booked last minute so no choice of room ended up with Family room number 15. Room nice size but front of hotel over looking car park, the loo has a dodgy flush to the point I did not trust it to...

We had our wedding at Woodlands Lodge 2 weeks ago on Sept 19th. We chose Woodlands as we opted for the smaller package and from the first time we visited we just had such good experiences with all the staff that work there. Imogene was so helpful with the arranging of everything for the day, and really helped ease my...

The hotel was quiet being midday lunchtime and we had been advised that a limited bar menu would be available which suited us. However, on arrival the chef came to speak with us and asked what we might like to eat ranging from a light salad to a full 3 course meal. He then offered several options and the presentation...

We spent 5 nights here during the second half of September. The building had very much the feel of a country house & for us this added to our enjoyment. The accommodation was arranged over two & three storeys & each room had its own name as well as number which was a particulalrly nice touch. Our ground floor accommodation...

Absolutely no problems once we had located the hotel - as opposed to nearby care home! Excellent food in the restaurant and a lovely room. Makes a really good stopover for exploring the New Forest area. Nicely positioned in quiet area but with easy access to the forest if you want to roam. Would recommend if you are looking for...

We had 7 rooms, including the wonderful family room on the top floor, for my 50th birthday. We had a private dining room which was wonderful. Every single member of our party commented on how good the food was, which we chose from the main menu. Staff wre wonderful, with nothing being too much trouble. Service for everything was superb....

A couple midweek days in the New Forest, booked the Hotel on line. Nice people, we had a ground floor room and floor boards from above were very creaky when the occupants walked around (probably due to the age of the Hotel), The evening meals was a little overpriced for my liking, saying that the food was well cooked and...
