Stayed for two nights in Willow Room at Robin Hood Cottage. As many of the reviewers have said, this is like staying with friends. John and Elaine are such relaxed hosts and immensely hospitable. When we arrived, John gave us tea in their charming garden, and Elaine provided wonderful breakfasts on the covered patio. We lingered over coffee and the... More

We spent 4 nights at Robin Hood Cottage. The room was full of character, with lovely beams and features. the bed was comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with toiletries. Elaine and John and brilliant hosts, and you leave feeling like friends rather than guests. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have excellent ideas for what to... More

For our first wedding anniversary we alway had agreed that we would follow the theme of our honeymoon and stay within the British Isles! It was just a matter of how we would match or beat our honeymoon in Cornwall! Well we decided that we was always going to take our beloved dog Elsie on this trip and this automatically... More

Just back from 3 nights staying at this lovely home in this very very special village of Walsingham. A genuinely warm welcome from Elaine to the Willow room which was spacious had a very comfortable bed and lots of idiosyncratic pots books and so on. Lovely breakfasts, outside one day, with beautiful fruit, gourmet yoghurt and top grade granola, followed... More

We have just spent a lovely couple of nights at the Robin Hood. Elaine and John made us very welcome, like sharing their home rather than just another place to stay. On our arrival, Elaine showed us our room and was quick to offer us tea and biscuits in our room (the Oak Room). The facilities in the room were... More

this is a lovely place to stay - a very warm welcome, interesting and individual house, genuine home. Bedroom was impeccably decorated, very comfortable bed, great bathroom with lots of interesting soaps. Personally, we would prefer tea/coffee facilities in the room, but the hosts happily provided lovely tea and coffee early in the morning for us. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly.

The Robin Hood Cottage was fantastic! The Oak Room bed was comfy with loads of pictures and souvenirs that John and Elaine have collected over their travels. Each night we sat in there immaculate courtyard garden, where we were able to find out about all the local sightseeing and attractions. John and Elaine were brilliant host's, and we found that... My husband and I stayed in Elaine and John's rather unconventional but comfortable B&B in Walsingham whilst we enjoyed a three day stay in a town we visit rarely but only normally for religious pilgrimages. Walsingham is a beautiful little town and Robin Hood Cottage makes up one of the many B&Bs in that town that closely surround the famous... More

We had been looking for a smart hotel to stay in but unable to find anything under about £300 a night decided that we'd rather a lovely B&B than a mediocre hotel - how lucky we were to have made that choice. From the moment we telephoned to book Elaine and John couldn't have been kinder and nicer. The room... More

I wish the stars went up to ten. Having stayed in Norfolk on and off since 1987 I would say Robin Hood cottage is the best. The room is clean and extremely comfortable, the hosts John and Elaine welcome you to their wonderful home. The breakfasts are excellent and the conversation rivetting. Having stayed in hotels across the world, I... More

“We were really happy with the Willow Room - just inside the front door so you didn't feel you were disturbing anyone with coming and going, and also we were able to have it made up as a twin room rather than a double - perfect for my mother and me.”
