This was an overnight stay for us and my elderly mother, on a Sunday, so maybe not 100% representative, or we were unlucky. Rooms here are clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. As in much of Norfolk, don't visit on the expectation of the latest creature comforts, modernist decor or trappings of 21st century life. So...

Just a few miles from Cromer, easy to find with large car park. Comfortable well equipped room. Friendly helpful staff. Food in the restuarant was excellent. Easy to walk to the cliffs and beach through footpath almost next door to the hotel.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 young children. We stayed in the family room, which is 2 rooms connected by a small corridor with a bathroom between them. The rooms were clean and quite spacious. The boys were happy, especially when they saw that we had a bath, not something we get very often in a family room....

Had a carvery Sunday which was really nice and the desserts were lovely. We have been here many times before the staff are always friendly and the food is always excellent. It won`t be long before we return.

Unfortunately yes we did run out of beef, (for the last 6 people, out of 150) very sorry for this, but it does happen! It would be un-business like to cook all three joints of meat to accommodate 150 people, what I mean by this, is, if we were to cook enough beef for 150 people and Turkey the same,...

Our usual twice visit to Dormy started this year for Easter holidays. No midweek carvery, however this still didn't stop us booking a table for six. A good choice on the menu and real good value portions, great quality of food and excellent staff as per usual. Looking forward to August on our return visit here. Expect old fashioned charm...

Awesome. We stop here looking for a nice Sunday roast. We wasn't let down. The food was lovely. Choice between beef, lamb and turkey with a lovely selection of veg. If I lived closer I would be going all the time. The puddings were really nice too. Keep up the good work.

We have been attending the Dormy since it served a carvery in nothing more than" a shed".it gained a reputation for excellent food. The establishment grew and in it the Jarvis Carvery maintained a reputation of excellence. We booked in for second sitting on Sunday 20th March. The carvery provided three pieces of meat.We had the beef.overcooked ,dry and tasteless. We were lucky...

My wife and I have just spent 3 nights at the Dormy House Hotel for my birthday weekend after a recommendation from a friend. From the original booking by e mail and telephone I was impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. This continued on our arrival and we were made very welcome by the receptionist, Billie, who...
