Holly Lodge Boutique B&B is located in the heart of beautiful North Norfolk, just 15 minutes from the coast. We have six individually designed rooms to choose from: Three 'cottages' situated away from the main house in the old stable blocks and on ground level, Country (double bed), Colonial (Super king), Claret (king). The other three are in the main house and on the first floor. These rooms are new to 2019 and are designed for pure relaxation and luxury. All rooms have en-suite shower rooms but the Holly Room also has a bath. Cole & Lewis bathroom amenities, Nespresso machine, tea and coffee making facilities, 32 inch flat-screen smart television, Bluetooth Roberts Radio and a little welcome treat. Breakfast is served in our garden conservatory. A delicious continental array of cereals, granola, seasonal fruits, fresh bread, pastries, and juices are laid out allowing our guests to help themselves, and if you still have room, we also serve a full and wholesome cooked English breakfast, using only the finest of North Norfolk's locally sourced produce. *** Please note we do not do a meet and great service. All guest will be sent a code to enter their room. ***

Detailed Reviews
I cannot rate this hotel enough, what a beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting. The room was out of this world, we stayed in a bedroom with a huge freestanding bath and double sink. The contrast in decor perfectly complimented each other and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect, even down to the smell of the bedsheets - I dont know what they’re washed in but they smelt heavenly. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and attentive and always smiling, they went above and beyond for my sisters birthday and gave us a bottle of Prosecco. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. 10/10 for us and we will definitely be retuning. Thank you xxx

Stop! There really is no need to search any further because you’ve found your ideal holiday home from home. Holly Lodge is a superbly presented Bed and Breakfast in a quiet but convenient location for all the local attractions.
Our room for two nights was Mistletoe which in common with the rest of the property was finished to an extremely high standard with quality fittings. The website describes it as the smallest of their rooms but it was more than adequate and extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was served to order by friendly staff in excellent Covid compliant surroundings. I only wish we had stayed longer but without a doubt we will be returning.

I haven’t enough superlatives to give this beautiful boutique B&B . Superb setting in a lovely part of Norfolk handy for exploring North Norfolk . Met with a very warm welcome from the manager Rosie and immediately made to feel at home. My daughter and I stayed in the Holly suite which was large , airy and so beautifully designed with electric plugs and mirrors just where every woman needs them . High quality bedding and gorgeous fluffy towels in an en suite to die for , huge shower , roll top bath , jack and Jill wash basins with good quality toiletries. Breakfast was served in lovely conservatory and kitchen diner with an excellent menu, cooked or continental , something for all tastes with delicious fresh croissants . Delightful lounge area with a well stocked honesty bar. There is a lovely garden and cottages to stay in also . I loved the the large and comfortable bed so much I’m seriously thinking of having to invest in a new mattress , I was really sorry to have to leave Holly Lodge and I will hopefully be back .

My friends and I booked Colonial cottage and Claret cottage for a night away to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We had very, very high expectations based on the price we paid and on previous reviews and unfortunately it did fall short.
Firstly, the previous reviews all mentioned about getting homemade cake and chocolates on arrival in the room and the website said a ‘welcome treat’ however when we arrived there wasn’t anything like this. Although a seemingly small thing, it would appear that it’s recently changed management and these extra touches are no longer there so it failed to meet our expectations.
The bedrooms were mostly clean and the beds were comfy however we found colonial cottage to be very dark inside with a much, much smaller bathroom than claret cottage.
When we arrived, there was an ‘order form’ for breakfast. I appreciate with it being a small b&b it’s good to know what the chef needs to prepare but it was very hard to make the decision the night before as we wouldn’t k is what we wanted in the morning. As a result, we ordered a range of things.
Disappointingly, for a b&b with this price tag, there was no avocado option for breakfast, no pancakes and very very few vegan options (except soya milk, almond milk and a vegan sausage ). There was also no hash brows. In fact, when ticking the sheet, it reminded me of ordering a school lunch and was very basic really. In previous reviews, it mentioned a more buffet style for the continental but this wasn’t the case.
We had a good night sleep but felt rushed in the morning as breakfast was advertised on the website and confirmation email as being between 8-9.30 (which we thought was early for a Sunday) but when we got there it was actually only between 8-9! When we arrived for breakfast one of the waitresses kept making sarcastic comments about the amount of food we had ordered to breakfast and got our drinks order wrong twice. We were made to feel like a massive inconvenience. When we asked for some honey she asked ‘do you need that right now?!’. I was quite shocked really. The very bare minimum was put out and you felt like you couldn’t ask for anything else you needed. The poached eggs were done in one of this silicone cups/microwave and the breakfast was distinctly average.
We spent £300 for 1 nights stay for the 4 of us and we were expecting a lot, lot more than what we got. It definitely doesn’t seem to be as good as it once was.

It is an outstanding B & B, loved it the moment I saw it. The room was spotless, top rate bed linen, very comfortable bed. The complimentary tray with teas, water, biscuits and even wine was very generous as were the toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast had a huge selection and you could have a cooked breakfast to order. Top quality produce and perfectly cooked. The staff very friendly and nice. I cannot fault a single thing and hopefully will stay there again in the future.

Lovely little set up of cottage buildings and a main building with conservatory and cosy lounge area. We stayed in the separate shepherd's hut accommodation which was beautifully clean and lovely and snug with its wood burner and underfloor heating, a lovely big bed and walk in shower make this a great choice for a romantic little getaway. We used this accommodation to attend the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which is literally just over the road, a perfect pre Christmas treat. Rosie was very welcoming and made us feel relaxed and at home.

We found this B&B purely by chance when booking the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and it proved to be an absolute gem. We parked our car there before the matinee performsnce and were met and greeted by lovely Rosie. What a welcome - best we’ve ever had and we travel fairly regularly. Country Cottage was our place for the night. There was complimentary Nespresso coffee, small bottles of wine and all the toiletries you’d ever require. The lounge area had games, TV and various snacks which were available for guests. You just had to sign what you’d taken in a book and then pay at checkout. We chose our breakfast the night before and such pretty tables set out in the conservatory/dining room with the names of our respective cottages on them. The buffet part of breakfast was fabulous. Fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and Sue, who had just started that day was great, as were all the ladies. The cooked breakfast was perfect and cooked to your choice (I like crispy bacon!). We will definitely return. Rosie is due to retire at Christmas and it will be well deserved as she has created a great team at Holly Lodge. Thank you all for a great experience.

A little more than we would normally pay for a B&B, Holly Lodge is up there with some of the best places we have stayed.
Although there is no meet and greet, arrival is very straightforward and the place is easy to find.
Very clean and beautifully presented from top to bottom, Rosie and the rest of her amazing domestic team provide a truly wonderful breakfast and morning welcome.
The three of us stayed in Holly and Mistletoe rooms respectively in the main lodge, both are cosy but spacious and are really quiet with good natural light and ventilation.
Holly Lodge is on the doorstep of the Thursford Collection - for which we had free entry vouchers - well worth it!
There are numerous and lovely places to eat within 20 or 30 minutes drive - Blakeney is a very special village down on the coast and should be high on the itinerary for any visitor.

We were visiting the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and this accommodation is literally "over the road", a short walk. Ample Car Parking right next to the house and easy signposted access off the village road.
Communication on making our booking informed us of the key and code and we were easily in the premises. WOW!, the downstairs breakfast and kitchen areas leading onto the lovely lounge and conservatory greeted us and set the mood for our stay.
Up the one flight of stairs to our room, we would be in the beautiful "IVY" room.
Spacious room with everything we needed, a large bed with four different pillows, tea and coffee on hand with a small bottle of white and red wine as complimentary.
A nice walk in shower with his and her sinks and an assortment of towels. TV channels included You Tube and Netflix, not that we had much time for that but good to know its there. Wifi was easily accessed and the premises is lovely and quiet.
After our nights sleep, breakfast is 8-9am and the three ladies (staff) we met we all chatty and friendly. A full English was offered with plenty of other cereal choices and pastries too. An excellent location and beautiful stay.

+1
Absolutely amazing place to stay. Our room was described as "the smallest" but it was plenty big enough. Spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. The bathroom is something to be seen too. Ample parking and although there is no "meet and greet", getting access was simple. Loved the breakfast and the lounge area is beautiful. Breakfast is served in the conservatory which a few guests said they loved and were going to look into getting one for their own homes! I also loved the kitchen area which has glass doors so you can see what's going on and again how spotlessly clean it was. We have booked again for next year when we will be attending the Thursford Christmas Extravaganza for the third time which is literally across the road. (Notice I kept my review to myself until after I had booked a room again as this B&B gets booked out very quickly!)
