This hotel was tiny and noisy. My partner and I left at 2 am as we couldn't sleep. The walls and floor boards are made of cardboard and who ever stayed above us was doing an audition for a line dancing competition. Dreadful experience tiny room .

Four members of our family have stayed over the past week in separate rooms and unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay. The showers were freezing cold for all of us, the breakfasts were also cold including poached eggs on toast and pancake. The continental selection was very poor and overpriced for what was on offer. The bedrooms had...

Went in for a drink and the steak and kidney pudding looked delicious so we came back the next evening: the place stank of garlic. Filled with foreboding, we asked if the steak and kidney had garlic in it and it HAD! Why? Where is English cooking going? Why is everyone following James Martin and Tom Kerridge and stuffing garlic...

Generally we had a good experience at The Woolpack Inn, staying just one night whilst attending a wedding reception in the village hall. Welcoming staff members, but no help to find our room which was in a block away from the Inn. All a bit confusing and it lucky it was not totally dark. The room was lightweight too, bed...

Just got back from a nights stay at the woolpack for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in a four poster room which wasn't in the main building of the inn. It was lovely the room was nice and clean. We also pre booked a table in the restaurant, pleased we did as it was very busy. The food was great...

I stayed here enroute to Dover for the ferry. If yoou follow your sat-nav then be prepared to drive along (quiet) country lanes, there is a much easier route further on. This is a country pub with some rooms in the main building but also some in an adjacent annex. I heard no noise from the pub and only a...

Arrived New year eve, straight away felt like a lovely place, the fire the banter from staff and people in the bar, easy to park in the free car park..... Our room was a family room (no 6) which was upstairs and it was lovely, tea and coffee biscuits available and the bed was very comfortable. Our meal in the...
