My husband and myself were given a Virgin Break for our 25th wedding anniversary for a one night stay. We booked two nights and paid for the extra night. The room we were given was drab and small overlooking the street. I felt we were treated as second class citizens as we were using a voucher. I had trouble booking...

We stayed for 1 night over mayday bank holiday. Pleasantly surprised by the lovely view from our room, number 8. Not luxurious but does the job and £89 for a family is very cheap. Sadly the pub downstairs seems under staffed. It took well over an hour for a Sunday roast and my children were getting hungry and agitated. A...

my wife and I went to the swan inn for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had been there on our honeymoon and wanted to bring back memories. It did not look good when we went to ask about our table reservation and heard the barman saying that they had run out of a lot of the menu.We finally got to...

We were very surprised at how nice this stay turned out to be. I wasn't expecting much, as the room including breakfast was quiet reasonably charged. The view from the room was great, yes it was basic, but the sofa bed and double bed were comfortable and it was clean. The three of us had plenty of room. Breakfast was...

Charming old building by the river. Good pub with traditional food. Room was very basic and the bathroom could not be heated (defect radiator) and consequently quite cold at this time of the year. Nice staff but I would not stay there again.

We stayed for two nights and were very impressed with this establishment. We were checked in promptly on arrival and had room 8, a family room although there was just two of us. The room was a good size with excellent views over the river. The pub was lovely with an open fire, good menu and superb staff. Every member...

Stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve. Very poor room, window didn't shut properly, room smelt and when asked a housekeeper for spray they never bothered to come back. Spider webs also in corners on room. Room looked nothing like the picture and was very small. As my partner said when we got into the room, "the only good...

Just got back from a 2 night stay at The Innkeepers Lodge - Swan Inn. We stayed as a couple in the Family Room - No 1. The room is fairly dated but was a good size and was clean. The Bathroom has a nice large shower in it and was warm with the heated towel rail in it. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Overlooking the River Bure, in the "prettiest village on the Norfolk Broads," Innkeeper's Lodge Horning is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the country. It also provides convenient budget accommodation near Wroxham or Norwich. The Swan Inn began life as a cottage in 1696, although the main part of the building was constructed in the early 19th century. Its rustic black and white timbered structure is home to eight comfy, modern rooms and one of the cosiest pubs in Horning. So it couldn't be easier to sit back and enjoy heart-warming, seasonally inspired food and a glass of what you fancy. It's well worth taking a tour of the Broads by boat or by steam locomotive on the Bure Valley Railway. Or if you're feeling more active you could try the award-winning BeWILDerwood Treehouse Adventure Park, or charge up to the medieval motte and bailey fortress of Norwich Castle. ... more   less
