Just returned from a two night Travel Zoo deal at Burythorpe House. The hotel is ideally situated in the tiny village of Burythorpe between York and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The hotel has been recently refurbished and our bedroom and the public rooms were beautifully furnished. All the staff we met were very welcoming and nothing was too...

A small, intimate hotel set in a quiet part of East Yorkshire with a lovely setting. Our room which had been booked on an offer was large and quite luxurious with a brass bed and deep stand alone bath in good sized bathroom. The hotel has lovely sitting rooms with open fires in winter and a wood panelled restaurant of...

Satnav is a boon for finding this hotel but the effort is well worth it. The hotel has been sympathetically refurbished, including keeping the old fireplaces in the bedrooms, yet providing modern bathrooms. All the staff are a fine example of friendly Yorkshire hospitality, catering to your every need. The food is superb, especially the smoked salmon and crayfish risotto...

Absolutely stunning grounds, very laid back and peaceful setting. The staff were very warm and friendly especially Nikki whom always strives to go that extra mile! Will definitely make a return visit. Food was very good, ate evening meal, all lovely and really enjoyed breakfast the following morning.

We had a very comfortable nights stay there following our meal at the Priory Restaurant. We had...
