Very friendly greeting , beautiful room on the front of the house with stunning views of an old oak tree lit up at night and the surrounding countryside. Our third visit to Burythorpe and our second with TravelZoo. We did upgrade our booking but on arrival we were given a complimentary room upgrade to the top rated room. There were signs of ongoing building work that affected the view out of one window but it was no loss as we arrived after the work had finished and left...

Apart from the missing roaring log fire in the lounge which we had looked forward to (problem with chimney) everything went well...

We had a voucher for an overnight stay with breakfast and evening meal. We choose this place because of the location and it had a pool. We also paid an extra £40 for a deluxe room. We arrived at 4.15 pm with the idea of having a swim before dinner. We were shown to our room on the third floor,...

We upgraded to a superior room for only £20 and it was well worth it - my office is smaller than that bathroom.... The staff are welcoming and very helpful. The evening...

The house has been refurbished and is furnished to a high standard. We stayed in one of the bigger rooms with a large bathroom and window with lovely views, which we would recommend. A member of staff said that the house can be booked for a large party, only 12 rooms, which would be a good experience feeling that this...
