We recently returned from a short stay at Griffon forest. We stayed in a beautiful, well equipped lodge. Everything you could want was supplied from all the linen to a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. We had a huge Jacuzzi bath and hot tub on the decking. There each lodge was positioned so you weren't over looked....

We return again and again here as its so peaceful with great walks with the dog.Lots of wildlife especially squirrels and badgers. The latter like bread and peanut butter and will come very close to the lodges of an evening to feast. They have dug a sett right next to the reception office which has a 24hour camera on it piped through...

This was our fourth visit to Griffon Lodges and unfortunately not the best. On arrival, the floors had obviously just been cleaned, were soaked and a little bit dangerous, there was no loo roll in the bathroom....one of the sofas was really on it's last legs with the back coming away from the base with cushions over the top to...

Been here quite a lot. As a couple and more sometimes. Always clean and tidy. Good restaurant nearby. Lodges are nice and well equipped. Poachers premier is our favourite. Near to York and under £20 by taxi. Still our favourite lodges for a weekend away.

Expensive but you get what you pay for, lovely relaxing week and could have stayed longer. Great standard of accommodation and the hot tub was such a bonus. We had day trips to York, Eureka and Xscape in Castleford. There's a huge out of town shopping centre about 15 minutes drive away. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing holiday...

We had a lovely weekend at the lodges. Have stayed in a few different lodge type accommodation in the past, but our lodge at Griffon Forest was probably the most spacious and comfortable. We stayed as a family of 5 adults and dog. There was plenty of lounge space and seating, a big hall and utility for boots/coats, 2 bathrooms,...

We arrived for a Monday to Friday stay. Check in isn't until four but we were allowed in at three. We stayed in lodge 42. The night before we left having read some reviews on here I had a sense of trepidation, mentions of tired lodges which weren't as clean as they could be. On entering we both said wow!...

Fab time from start to finish. Picked up a Sainsbury's click and collect from the local shopping complex and easily had room for everything we bought (including a large amount of wine!). Hot tub up to temp on arrival, with the man showing us how it worked within minutes. Not even slightly over looked and we couldn't hear much from...

We booked Griffon Forest as we thought is would be a luxury high quality holiday which was reflected in the price we paid for one week. Sadly we were extremely disappointed at the standard of both accommodation and customer service! After checking in, contrary to our experiences on our other eight hot tub holiday resort holidays, no one came to...
