Stayed for the night last weekens. As it was my hubby's birthday I phoned and asked for a bottle.of champagne to go in the room for our arrival. Although they don't stock champagne, kirsty got one especially...very lovely personal touch, which I was very grateful. We booked a table for a meal, It was fabulous..portion sizes and quality..really enjoyed it....

Stayed here for a total of five nights, the owners were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The bar/ restaurant staff were brilliant, they are very attentive and very helpful. The food was very good and overall reasonably priced. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, if I had a small gripe it would be that the bathrooms...

We stayed one night and wished it had been more. We shall definitely use it as a base next time we visit Northumberland. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon and knowing that food wasn't served on Sunday nights the friendly proprietor allowed us to bring in a takeaway. ( we hope the...

We stayed at the Swan in order to visit Blyth during the 'Tall Ships' regatta. It was a good choice with a comfortable and quiet room. We had a meal in the restaurant which was fine. The proprietor was very quick to resolve an initial problem with our room.

There are six rooms, built as an annexe to the pub - motel style. They are very spacious and modern. I had Room 1 with double and single bed, sitting area and excellent facilities . Bed was very comfortable and I had a good sleep. Sorry I was only staying one night. Only snag, the "complementary cold breakfast" was very...

A last minute decision to eat out lead us to the Swan which I drive past regularly but have not been in for years. The three of us decided on different main courses, nothing fancy, just good pub grub meals from the vast menu. We were pleasantly surprised, the plates were cleaned by us all and the service was very...

This is a popular restaurant which could do better. A good menu and excellent 'specials'. How odd one can have the 'steak special' in the bar area but not in the posher restaurant 3 feet away. Good food spoilt by not being hot enough, average service, yet would probably go there again. Reasonably priced.

I stayed in this hotel on business with a colleague in June 2016. I have no control over the hotels that are booked for me and just hope that they are nice. On this occasion it most certainly was. We we're allocated room 1 at The Swan which was lovely, very well thought out, spacious and very clean. I'm more...

We were a party of 21, for my mams 80th birthday party. Not an easy task to supply all the meals on time, but must say they did an excellent job. Good organisation skills meant that my mam and all the family had a great night. The staff were friendly and attentive. Must say a big thank you to everyone...
