We stayed in the separate cottage ty Pentax for a week, much as I would love to keep this place a secret I have to write this review for this beautiful place. From the time we arrived and looked over the estuary and went inside the gite and saw how perfect it was, to the time we left, it was a wonderful week. The owner was delightful, couldn’t have been more helpful. The gite is brilliantly equipped with everything and more one could want. But the terrace overlooking the estuary is what makes this place so very special. Le Conquet is a lovely harbour town which one could reach by walking over the estuary via the bridge. A beautiful white beach lies within 5 minutes walk. All in all all a perfect spot, will definitely want to return.

The house is very charming , well equipped and very tasteful . The hostess Christiane is very kind and hospitable and makes you feel very much at home. I loved the fresh flowers and the huge fireplace, that we used very often. It is beautfully located by the river, and the village is on walking distance across the river. Beautiful beach and peninsula close by. Very relaxing and quiet place

This is a truly blissful location. We stayed in Le penty, a well equipped and very comfortable house, with stunning views across the estuary to the lovely village of Le Conquet, and out to sea. 200m away on the other side of the peninsula is the ocean and a beautiful, white sand beach. Altogether a marvellous, tranquil, place to relax, unwind and enjoy the local restaurants- and walk, or surf, or take a boat trip, or sightsee...

We could not recommend more highly Les Galets Blancs and Christiane Le Bouar. Located a short walk across a footbridge from the charming and unpretentious fishing village of Le Conquet, Les Galets Blancs is Christiane's elegant 18th Century home. It has been divided into three separate living sections, with an additional guest house, and sits on spacious grounds with splendid views over the water to the village. We stayed for five nights in a section of the main house with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and large living area with a working fireplace next to where Christiane lives. She biked to the village every morning for fresh orange juice and croissants and other pastries and served them on the large table in our kitchen along with lovely café au lait and tea. In addition, she invited us two times for aperitifs, and she was always available to give us impeccable, detailed advice on what to see and where to eat and hike. Beautiful beaches and the main coastal trail are within a short walk. One of our group was looking for an old friend and, thanks to Christiane, found her. The accommodations in the main house were clean and simple but at the same time charming and full of character. The recently built guest house has a traditional stone exterior and a modern interior. Given our love of the old, we were happy, in fact preferred, to be in the original house, even with its inevitable quirks (the main one being that the full bathroom is on the main floor and the two bedrooms are on the second floor). Christiane speaks French along with some limited English. Guests who speak basic French will enjoy wonderful, fascinating conversations with her. Even guests whose French is out of a phrasebook, however, will find that Christiane is warm and hospitable and has an unparalleled charm. We would return to Les Galets Blancs every year if we could.
