expected better views and food based on others reviews. Average food. no view of any sherp. Staff nice and bathrooms clean. Unfortunately nothing else in the area. I wouldn't skip eating here but don't expect much.
If you are in this area, this hotel is definately the place to stay. We were on a bike trip and this was our absolute favorite hotel of the whole trip. Locally owned and the owners could not have been nicer! Cute cabins some even...More
Our family recently stayed at one of their guest rooms. It was pretty simple, but clean and nice. They didn't have separate bathrooms and you had to share with 2 other rooms, but the bathrooms were only 10 steps away and very clean and private.

The two are about five hours apart (more like six in the summertime) and there is one main route. You'll head south on the Parks Highway (highway 1) until you get to the interchange with the Glenn Highway (highway 3.). Take the Glenn north to Sheep Mountain Lodge. It's a lovely drive. You can cut through the town of Wasilla to save a few minutes but it's not probably not worth it if you're new to the area. Have a safe trip!
