We enjoyed our two night stay at Butterfly Farm. John and Karen have been absolutely wonderful to deal with - thank you so much for hosting us! After I made a reservation, Karen offered a wealth of information of what to do around the area which made our planning a lot easier. Our arrival to the B&B was during the...

A quiet location in the countryside but close to the western end of the Great Ocean Road. The property is full of character with beautifully furnished, and comfortable, suites of rooms. The nearby Bay of Islands is as good as the twelve Apostles but without the crowds.

This is s beautiful big old house, very tastefully decorated. We were greeted by John who was charming and made us feel very welcome. Our room as delightful, and we had our own private bathroom. We met Karen the next morning who cooked us an amazing breakfast all served on lovely place settings. Would highly rrecommend commend this place.

The B&B is one of the most charming and lovely experience we have had during our trip through Australia. Our hosts, Karen and John, were warm, friendly and very accommodating. The room is warm and very inviting, the bath is just off the room and lavatory is just outside the door. The room opens up to a veranda porch overlooking...

We stayed here on the 24th of April. As it had gotten dark by the time we reached, the big sign board 300 mt prior to the destination turned out to be a life saver! It is an absolute gem of a property located very conveniently (just 25 mins drive from 12 apostles). The room has got that old world...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Butterfly Farm is a restful haven for holidaymakers, or a cosy romantic retreat. Close to Shipwreck Coast and the Great Ocean Road attractions, including Childers Cove, the 12 Apostles, Bay of Islands, Peterborough, Port Campbell, Timboon Farmhouse Cheeses, the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk, Whale Watching and within easy driving distance to Port Fairy and Warrnambool. What began as a humble farmhouse is now a delightful homestead, full of character. Butterfly Farm has been a labour of love for us and you will enjoy your stay with us as much as we do at Butterfly Farm. Singles, couples, families and small groups are welcome. Verandahs surround Butterfly Farm and these are always a feature of Australian homes for just sitting, relaxing and watching the day go by. Delicious country style breakfast is included in the tariff and is served in a redgum kitchen looking across the garden from a bay window. Tea & coffee facilities together with orange juice and homemade cookies are provided. Butterfly Farm has 2 B&B areas and can sleep up to a total of 7 persons. B&B 1 offers privacy and a cosy retreat full of character. It has its own entrance, private lounge room, en-suite and the bedroom has a QS 4 poster bed and a single bed. There is also a leather fold out couch, the size of a double bed with an inner spring mattress, in the lounge room and there are large double doors that can separate the lounge room from the bedroom. This area can sleep up to 5 persons. B&B 2 offers space and the comforts of home. It has a QS bed and the bedroom has french doors onto a private veranda. It has a foyer, private bathroom and adjacent lounge room with an entertainment system. Can sleep up to 2 persons. ... more   less
