We had a wonderful stay. Perfect location with great food and excellent wine! The staff was very kind and made our stay fantastic. Rooms and beds are good. Please rent a car so you can explore the beautiful area.

The best thing about this place are the wine and food. But Salentein has not given much thought to the hotel side of their business. Our reservation requests by e-mail went unanswered for a week. After a phone call from Europe, it turned out that a room was indeed available. But once there, I felt as if we had been...

We stayed at Posada Salentein for 3 nights over Christmas in Dec 2009 as part of our honeymoon. We arrived on Christmas eve and I had emailed in advance to find out what was happening in terms of food/entertainment etc. We were told it was going to be a 'special meal' as in Argentina, Christmas eve is celebrated more than...

In April we spent 3 days at Posada Salentein. It is a lovely place, location is rather remote but pituresque and it is a good place to relax, go biking or horseback riding or to visit one of the many wineries. Guests do get a free tour of Bodega Salentein, a beautiful winery, certainly worth to visit including the Art...

We spent a fantastic Christmas in Mendoza staying at Posada Salentein. The location in the Valle de Uco is remote and isolated but very picturesque with stunning mountain vistas. The accomodation is fine. There are two main buildings, each with rooms and private entrances. Ours was furthest from the main Posada (where meals were served) and the most private. Accomodation...

This hotel consists of two seperate residential buildings, on the edge of a large winery. Both back onto a gravel rural road. There is a seperate dining area and pool. The setting is great. The accomodation is pleasant, but there is no A/C so gets very sticky in what is early/ mid summer there. There was a good selection of...

The Salentein winery is Dutch owned and very smart....a visit around the winery is recommended. There is an art exhibition at Killka as well as a very smart and efficient looking wine making operation. Apparently the owners never visit which may explain the very laid back attitude of all staff, including those at the Posada. We spent two nights here...

For our 25th wedding anniversary my wife and I treated ourselves to a beautiful wine tour of Mendoza and area. This also included a two day horse back ride into the Andes up to an elevation or 3,600 meters (not feet!), roughing it in a tent at a freezing 3,500 meters. At the end our bones hurt so much, we...

Yes, the Posado is beautifully located in a quiet area, has great views over the snowy Andes Mountains. We had a great lunch at the Salentein Bodega (5 min by car) and very professional winetour. But..... we found the approach of the male front desk employee and the Manager of the Posado & Restaurant not very friendly. They didn't give...

If you want to treat yourself, or have a romantice get away, go to Posada Salentein. An excellent get away down the valle d'uco. Great and big rooms, surrounded by gardens (with swimming pool) and wineries. If you want to visit the winery and/or the art gallery, you can go by bike, or they will drop you of any time...
