I see I'm joining the Lizzy and Lawrence fan club. Brilliant welcoming B and B. Greeted by Lizzy with tea and cake, which was most welcoming after some tough climbs on our tandem. Tandem secured in garage overnight without asking. Cyclist friendly.....Lizzy very enthusiastic about the visit of the T de F. Well appointed bedroom with own private bathroom next...

Yes! we only stayed one night, but have already booked for another 3nights. Perhaps we should keep this little gem a secret! The garden was a delight.Any bird watchers out there would be in their element watching the numerous birds feeding.

Incredibly friendly people, terrific breakfast, nice house in centre of small village with two pubs within twenty yards. Guests are encouraged to treat the place like their own home. Absolutely perfect.

This is a B and B that goes way beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived, the welcome, the cake and biscuits...sitting in the garden relaxing...the bright, airy, clean bedrooms...little touches like binoculars on the windowsill...we could have stayed a week! Our hosts were entertaining, courteous and fascinating raconteurs of their travels. Breakfast was a superb home cooked affair with...

This was our second trip to pennycroft. After a very warm welcome on our first trip we knew we had to go back. Returning on our honeymoon walking tour of the Dales we were not let down. Lizzie and Laurence are great hosts, little extra touches like freshly baked cake and biscuits making the visit just that little bit more...

Back from our second visit to the Pennycroft and every bit as good as the last. Lawrence and Lizzy are so welcoming and put you at ease from the moment you get there. With only 3 rooms they can provide a real personal touch that sets it apart from most b and b's. As they live a couple of doors...

Had a fantastic stay. Lawrence and lizzy couldn't do enough for you. Locked our bikes away and gave us the low down on the local pubs. Homemade cakes on arrival, roaring fire and fabulous breakfast in the morning.. Our room was warm and cosy. Lovely touches such as dressing gowns available. We will be back.

This is the place for you if you enjoy a warm welcome and meeting other guests. Having free access to the kitchen and living room is great, especially the roaring fire. However if one couple is enjoying a cup of tea and cake by the fire you can feel like you're intruding as you walk through to go upstairs. In...
