We stayed here for a week on a timeshare exchange. We had never been to the island. The resort has its pros and cons, like every resort does. We had a one-bedroom with a small kitchenette which was excellent for the two of us. We bought groceries and had breakfast and some easy dinners in the room. The air conditioning unit didn't seem to be working at full force and then flashed an error code. We called the front desk and within minutes someone came over. After he assessed the problem, I received a call from the front desk within about a half hour asking if anyone had arrived. To me, that spoke volumes as they cared a lot to follow up and they cared to send someone over immediately. The same thing occurred when we called for a few extra shower towels. Our room was in a fantastic location in that we had views to the marina and the buildings by Dawn beach. It was extremely quiet. We didn't hear anyone next to us while we were inside our rooms. The treadmills and other gym equipment could definitely be updated. I only used the treadmill once and we walked a 4.5 mile loop from our resort around the island and back. If you do that, get ready for some steep hills if you leave the resort and go left. It was well worth it with spectacular views. Just be careful of the dogs at some of the properties you'll pass. At one home, it was gated, but the dogs jumped up on the retaining wall and barked like crazy when we were on the opposite side of the street. Very scary in that I wasn't sure if they were going to come after us. The bar staff was great, but short handed. One evening we sat at the bar by Dawn beach which is off the grocery store/market. It took us an hour and a half to get three side dishes we ordered because they were out of the impossible burger and the impossible sticks. We had drinks and waited, but that was a little too long to get French fries, mac and cheese, and rice in my opinion. The resort was very clean. When I went to Dawn beach there weren't any chairs and one of the workers offered to bring me one. I didn't ask and I wasn't going to because I figured there weren't any left, but he was kind to offer and kind to bring me not one, but two; not knowing I was with anyone else.…
One glorious week in paradise is just not enough! The weather was perfect, the food delicious, the rooms beautiful and enough can’t be said about the friendly and helpful staff. The Infinity pool is beautiful and spacious, the ocean views fabulous! Thirsty? David is sure to create a tasty beverage just for you. Hungry? Meals/drinks can be served poolside, in the courtyard or in the Infinity Restaurant for a more upscale atmosphere. Or dine at the Veranda Market & Bistro for a cozy, casual experience. Unfortunately, the seaweed keeps increasing. Oyster Bay is not responsible for Mother Nature. The beach itself is still lovely. Seaweed is removed daily from the beach. along the water’s edge. That said, it is still possible to enjoy a day at Dawn Beach under the palm trees with lounge chairs and beach umbrellas provided free of charge. We did swim in the ocean a few days. Other days we read on the beach and swam in the pool. No problem. We did not rent a car this time and enjoyed a low key, relaxing vacation. Dionelle & Phillip at registration are great. Special shout out to Cristal, Yanet & Jamie at the Veranda Bistro. David & Elizabeth at the Infinity Bar, Anias at the beach, Juan for driving us to the airport and Danny 007 for driving us from the airport. Thank you for making our stay so much more!…
We stayed in a courtyard ocean front room and I cannot stress enough that if you stay in this type of room, you will hear karaoke or a band almost every night. And every morning you will be woke. Up by music coming from the pool between 7-7:30am. We got terrible sleep because of this! Justin and Jammy at the Veranda bar were the best!
This was our first time on St Martin. We didn’t know what to expect. Kathleen and Shannelle in reservations did an excellent job helping us book a beautiful room right above the water so we could hear the ocean waves crashing on the shore. Our first night there, the resort had a Christmas parade with food and drinks and after we met Amy and Sasha at the restaurant. They were wonderful and their friendly personalities made us stay on property and eat more than we normally would. David at the bar was fun and Priscilla and Tanzanica at the front desk were really helpful and friendly. Yubi at the store was amazing and Heinrich on the beach was on the ball. We enjoyed all the staff including Salt and Pepper who are a riot! One of the managers, Adil actually went out of his way to check and see how we were doing a few times while we were there. We highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to get back to see the crew!…
I gained 10 pounds there, what does that tell you! As owners for 18 years we have been here more times than I can count. Always a great room great view and great activities and of course great food. This coming year we will stay for 2 weeks. I will have to pace myself. We always go out with captain Al on the dock right there. Glad to hear that the airport will be back to normal soon.
This is a great find and I highly recommend staying here as either a couple or with a family. We were able to see the whole island from here. everything is convenient. Lots of stuff to do or just relax by the There were so many resort activities we couldn't believe it.
Stayed for a week as a party of 5. Had a 2 bedroom sleep 6 room overlooking Dawn Beach! Esta made sure our room was made up each day! Loved all the staff especially Andre at the Infinity restaurant, Jammy at the Veranda and Justin the Veranda bartender. Adeal made sure he checked in with us whenever we were around and helped us find our way to Captain Alan’s excursion to Anguilla! The beach was great and while there was some sea weed Hendrich kept it cleaned up and made sure we had chairs and umbrellas when we needed them. Loved that the resort had aloe plants around for use on our sunburnt skin! Loved the pelicans that kept us entertained. Karaoke night at the veranda was loud but turned into an end of night conga line! Rented a car from the on-site Thrifty rental… super convenient and helpful to have it right on site. Definitely pack bug spray as the mosquitoes do like to nibble on guests… although if you forget there was some in the room under the sink. The food at their Veranda and Infinity was delicious no matter what we ordered. My son has a severe dairy allergy and they were very accommodating! Jammy at the Veranda remembered us each time we showed up and assured us of his safety! Had a gel manicure at the Spa and enjoyed every minute! Super convenient market onsite…. Definitely get there early I the morning for the pastries! Can’t wait to come back!…
Another wonderful experience as usual. This was our 5th time going to OBBR. This time we were able to bring more family members and my wife and I went for two weeks. An amazing experience right from the check in to check out. Check in was fast and easy. Welcomed with a fresh cocktail. I can't thank the bar staff enough for taking care of us for two weeks. The drinks were great all week and food was amazing. The Veranda food was great as well and the fresh croissants every moring which were well worth the wait and the market has everything you could possibly need to get by. One of the highlights was the Monday night Managers party. Had a blast. Music was great and drinks were definitely not an issue thanks to Salt and Pepper. The BBQ was great and just wish I would of made the Beach Party but unfortunately we had something else scheduled that day. Karaoke was a hit. Everyone was joining it whether it was at the Veranda or Infinity Bar. I guess I just want to say If your looking for a nice relaxing place with wonderful staff, perfect accommodations, enough activities going on if you want to take part or not and just relax and take advantage of the 3 wonderful spots on the resort to eat at then this is the place for you. My kids are already looking forward to next year. Cheers…
As an owner, we are always impressed with the staff and the improvements they make every year. Any problems we had with our room were quickly addressed and fixed. The rooms have been constantly updated and always look good.
A wonderful place to stay. Very friendly staff throughout the resort! So many amenities and options for tours, dining, etc. Store on site and incredible pastries! We have been coming to this resort for over 20 years & have brought many family members & friends who also request to come again!
