The North Norfolk coast is my favourite part of the UK, and Cley Windmill is certainly one of the top places to stay in the area . Cley is a very pretty village, perched precariously between sea, marshland and rolling farmland, and the windmill is visible for miles around. It certainly offers something different to the usual b n b's...

We stayed at the Cley Windmill in July of 14. Surprisingly, the rooms were roomy. We reserved two rooms but I can't remember the names. One was directly under the top room, and the other was under that one. Both were well furnished, clean, great bathrooms, and with views across the marsh. There was a reading room on the bottom...

Just spent the night in the Wheel Room at the very top of Cley Windmill....not for the faint hearted but a fabulous experience. You have to climb a steep ladder up to the room, which has an open four poster bed and fabulouse views of the surrounding Marshes. A further ladder takes you from the room up into your en...

As you pull up you are greeted by a stunning sight. Your very own windmill. The manager give a very warm welcome and his enthusiasm and pride in what they have is evident. Stunning rooms right in the cogs of the roof. We opted to dine in the restaurant on the Saturday. Beautiful food. Best mixed grill ever! Breakfast as...

We stayed in the River Room, which is on the ground floor with windows on three sides overlooking the Gardens and Reedbeds beyond. It is such an iconic location. The room was warm and comfortable and with a lovely deep bath to soak in after a branching walk out to Blakeney Point to see the seal pups. All guests are...

Having traveled to Norfolk last week and seen Cley mill advertised we decided to take a look and perhaps have dinner. The Mill itself as an attraction was let down by the approach lane was not what was expected. However having booked Sunday dinner we were looking forward to the experience. The lounge was comfortable but a little tired, the...

We are so sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your dining experience and wonder what was at fault on this occasion. Our wonderful chefs, Emma and Jimmie, receive rave reviews on a regular basis and their food is usually superb, as commented on in other reviews. We do have a strict policy on front of house attire and...

We stayed as a couple in the Wheat room for 2 nights at the end of October 2014, as we had arranged to meet friends in Holt for lunch on a Saturday. As many reviewers have said, the views are lovely, and we were lucky to have unseasonally warm weather so it was a pleasure to get out and about....

This still ranks as my wife's favourite hotel stay of all time. We stayed in the wheel room at the top and had a brilliant weekend. You can see for miles through the windows across Norfolk and the sea and you get an amazing view of the windmill itself including the inner cogs etc. in the giant-sized bathroom (which has...

This was our second amazing stay at the Cley windmill & hopefully it won’t be our last. We first visited a couple of years ago when my husband & I stayed away for a night in the Wheel Room for a special occasion. This time however we stayed with our daughters aged 10 & 8 in the Barley Bin Room,...

A wonderful experience staying in a windmill. All rooms are different with good furnishings. Breakfast is superb and you can eat dinner in the mil cooked by its own chef. Rooms overlook the marshes and there is a spacious lounge to sit in before or after dinner with log fire in winter. The staff make you most welcome and you...
