We stayed in Dona Mencia to have a hub for exploring Northern Andalucia. We chose Dona Mencia on the back of Youtube videos and reviews. The Hotel Dona Mencia Subbetica did not dissapoint from start to finish. It is worth pointing out from the outset, that we got a deal for a week in July for 2 adults and a...

I wanted a stopover between Jerez and Cazorla and decided that this hotel fitted the bill. It is situated a short distance, not even 100 metres from the A-318 that I had been travelling on, so was very convenient. It is a relatively new hotel, (I was told it had been there for about 4 years), and was impressed by...

Very pleased with our choice (based on previous reviews) of Hotel Mencia Subbetica as base for a short trip around Andalusia. The hotel is easy to find. Took the Superior room, as we wanted extra space for our little one. Worked very well - splendid bathroom, comfy bed with crisp linen and lovely views from the balcony. Room was very...

Lovely hotel, great views and really friendly and helpful staff. We stayed here as a base to explore Andalusia - it's within easy driving distance of Cordoba, Jaen and Granada. Just a short stroll from the centre of Dona Mencia, a lovely, unspoiled corner of Andalusia. A few words of Spanish would help here, as not all the staff know...

The rooms are modern bright and airy with a good air conditioner installed. The staff who have a limited knowledge of English were very patient with us when deciding what food...

Have just stayed for a week at this hotel. Clean and modern, lovely staff who did their very best for us considering we don't speak or understand Spanish very well. They translated the menu into English for us so we could choose our meals. This hotel is in a good area for visiting the city of Cordoba and many other...

A quite new hotel. Rooms are nice and clean. There is a 24/7 cafetaria, which we did not use, so can't comment on the quality. It looked nice, but too new, you don't really get the Spanish atmosphere. Right across the street is restaurant La Cantina situated in a former Railway station, which is very good. Only downside is that...

Nice location for hiking, cycing and mountain lovers, spacious and clean rooms, great views, excellent service, comfortable stay. The perfect value for money. P.S. the sea with beaches are very far away, so do not stay there if you are looking for that.

Perfect Hotel for relaxing breaks in a wonderful setting with excellent facilities and superb service. All you need is available and/or taken care of. The ‘La Via Verde’ – The Green Way with little inclination, is in front of the Hotel for a hike or bike ride. The route of the former Olive Oil Train runs 58KM through one of...
