We loved our 2 nights at the Finca! Raphael was an amazing host and we had every need catered to. The kids loved gathering fresh eggs for breakfast, riding horses and swimming in the pool. The zucchini salad is delicious and the organic wine and fresh fruit from the grounds we're wonderful! We are a family of four and stayed in the suite with plenty of room! It's best to call or text via WhatsApp to make a reservation.
We spent seven wonderful days at Finca la Herencia. Jolanda and Rafael were the best hosts one can imagine. Very attentive, friendly, eager to help and always smiling. My daughter loves animals, so she was excited by all the cute (and rescued) dogs and cats just walking around the farm. She is an enthusiastic horse rider, and Rafael took his time to introduce her to all their beautiful horses. He also gave her personal riding lessons every day, which we highly appreciated. Finca La Herencia is a little piece of paradise in the middle of Andalucia. Make sure to try Rafael's tomato salad and Jolanda's wonderful homemade paella, which is to die for. We will come back for sure, and you should go too.
We are so delighted we chose to stay at this beautiful finca. If you are considering a visit I say without any reservation do it! My family and I have had the most wonderful stay. Yolanda and Raphael have , without question , been the most super hosts- their kind , friendly and warm personalities are what make this stay a cut above the rest. The rooms are lovely , clean and well equipped for everything you will need. Each individually decorated in traditional Spanish styles. We ate and drank well and enjoyed the delicious homemade food and local wines. It’s very relaxed so you can choose if you would like to eat here or venture to the local village ( 10 minutes walk). A real highlight is the farm aspect , my daughter loved help Raphael look after the horses and of course ravished in cuddling the cute puppies and kittens ! 2 firsts for us was horse riding and star gazing - I can honestly say we will take home memories we will treasure forever.…
We wanted somewhere relaxing and peaceful to finish off our Spanish holiday this summer and this could not have been more perfect. Our hosts, Yolanda and Rafael, were extremely caring and patient - we were armed only with a vague memory of GCSE Spanish and Google translate to get us through, but Yolanda's English is extremely good and the language barrier with Rafael seemed to disappear through the sheer charm of his personality. They looked after us very well and were only too happy to offer advice on things to do, dishes to try and to introduce us to the gorgeous horses they own. The rooms are well appointed, a small fridge containing some soft drinks, very comfortable double bed, day bed, television (all Spanish channels so we didn't use it), wonderful shower etc. and kept beautifully clean by the housekeeping staff. We had breakfast included with our stay and everything is so fresh and delicious, either just a simple toast and topping or eggs and bacon as well. Yolanda also cooked dinner for us on several evenings, everything was beautifully prepared and incredibly flavoursome. Rafael recommended wines (many of them local and organic) to match, all of which were delicious. The picturesque setting is wonderful and the dark skies recommendation is richly deserved, there was only one night we didn't sit out to watch the stars, on all the other nights it was beautifully clear and we saw shooting stars and the transit of the international space station. There is a telescope on site for guests to use but we really didn't need to! Guadalcanal is a relatively quiet town, though there are plenty of tapas restaurants and bars within walking distance of Finca La Herencia. Although we were content to stay by the pool and read there are interesting sights nearby - the Roman amphitheatre often has events on and it's possible to visit the mines and a church in the hills. You can also ride the horses/go for a carriage drive at Finca La Herencia! We definitely plan to go back another year and venture out to do some sightseeing but we feel the fact we were so happy to stay on site speaks volumes for the pleasant and comfortable surroundings of Finca La Herencia.…
What a magnificent time we had at this place...! It cannot be faulted, seriously, that’s no embellishment. It is perfectly located in a rural setting but within walking distance to Guadalcanal. The room was beautifully appointed, decorated and extremely comfortable. But the big plus was the attentive service given by Yolanda and Raefel. Little snacks served with the wine by the fire and they proudly show you around their property. Yolanda cooked us seafood paella, our request, for dinner and it was superb. We had omelette made from their own freshly laid eggs for breakfast. We didn’t want to leave.
