The AC was quiet, hot water, they served a very nice breakfast on the patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located across the street from the beach. Very central to everything in town. A very good value for the $50-60 price range.

Stayed here with my family of 4. The owner arranged our Tunels trip (excellent) and our Sierra Negra trek (so much more than we expected!). This saved us a lot of time in our short adventure on the wonderful Isla Isabela.
Good location, average rooms for the reasonable price, but nice and clean. Good breakfast each morning. I would definatly recommend to other travelers.

Having never been to Isabela Island, I wanted to be close to the water, but I didn't want to spend alot of money either. When I read the reviews, I decided to stay here. The location is perfect. Just cross the street and a short path right to the beach. My room was small, but the right size for me. The bathroom was nice size. The air conditioning came in handy a few times, especially at night. The breakfast was good. I had scrambled egg, bread and fruit. Notice I said egg. It would be nice to have at least 2 eggs scrambled. The hotel is on a main street and not far away from restaurants and there's a small market close by. The wifi was hard to get in the room, but there's a patio by the office that you can get connected. There aren't many rooms, so it's quaint.

The Cons: the bathroom walls are very thin and you can't help but hear the conversations. I travel with earplugs.

The hotel does book tours, but I didn't book anything and here's why. When I went to the office to check on what they offered, the young man at the desk, was more interested in texting on his phone. He answered my questions, but never looked up once from his phone to look at me or make eye contact. He didn't say excuse me while I finish texting or give me a minute to finish. That's not the way I do business. I found it to be rude. I went across the street and book activities.

With that being said, I would definitely stay here again because of the location.

We were sent here for breakfast from an expensive resort on the sea front. Whilst the buffet ‘budget breakfast’ may be as anticipated for it guests, cold coffee, and absence of choice, it was totally unacceptable for the price we were paying. Staff with attitude didn’t add to the experience. We refused to eat hear again and for the rest of our stay ate breakfast at the Sun & Coffee - that location is highly recommended.

Hello dear, Thank you for your comment, but we do not recognize your reservation. Our service is about lodging and the breakfast service is only for our guests. Our buffet breakfast is designed to present local products, harvested and made on the island. An important aspect about fair trade and opportunity for entrepreneurs.

Coral Blanco was a good hostal close to the beach. The staff were friendly and they had a good breakfast included in the price. Everything was clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay.
However there was a concern. One day we found some of our label clothes hidden in a cupboard. We thought it strange as we had not put them there. After we had left the hostal we discovered the same label clothes were missing. We had always locked our door when not in the hostal. We contacted the hostal but they have not bothered to reply.
I usually write good reviews about where I stay and feel a bit bad about the above negative comments however I feel the need to be honest for other travelers . Richard

Dear Peters We are pleased to know that you have enjoyed the service and facilities of our hotel. However, we are very shocked by what happened. We have spoken with our cleaning staff, they are very humble and honest people who have worked for a long time with us and things like robberies in the rooms by our staff have never happened. It is absolutely unbearable for these people to risk their work for a couple of garments, which have a lower economic value than what they receive as a salary. The most likely thing is that you forgot your things in the laundry store of you asked us where it was located. We deeply regret the inconvenience, and we hope this does not affect the relations with our future guests. Best regards

Located pretty much on the beach (no view but a 20 metre walk). Close to town centre. Rooms had air con and spacious enough. Showers not great but think they the island was going through some water problems so maybe unfair to judge that. Staff where very helpful and happy (I say happy as it seems service in Ecuador is more that the customer is just an annoyance) also if you are there as part of a tour package as we where the restaurant they contract out to leaves a lot to be desired but found it very hard to find a decent meal in Isabela anyway. had water to refill bottles and a cool common area to chill out. Helpful with bag storage, taxis and generally will look after you. Would stay again

We stayed three nights and booked our tours with the hotel of the volcano and snorkelling trip. The place was very simple clean and had good wifi and a nice gathering common area to meet other guest and chill out. Similar to what other reviewers say its a good place. Its across the street from a beautiful beach and two or three small blocks to the centre of town where all the restaurants are. Breakfast was at a restaurants near by. The tours started on time and always included a guide and all equipment. We ate a some good places that I will review later on in particular that stood out was called Restaurant Cafetal, right beside the church in the main square. Food was outstanding. Overall a good location quiet and well organized hotel.

Perfect location. Loved the hang out area. Could fill up water bottle for free. Rooms were big and spacious. Least mine was. Bathroom - massive !!!!!! good hot water. Staff were friendly. Even thought I hardly spoke any Spanish I managed and they were kind enough to let me use their phone for free to phone inter island. The tours organised from the hotel were good. Everything ran on schedule. I really enjoyed staying here. Nothing to complain about. Short walk to the beach and the flamingo pond. Central. Had a line to hang wet clothes. A/C: rattled a fair bit otherwise a Good find !

I stayed here for three nights recently. The staff/management are very helpful (generally spoke very good English). The room was small-ish - but clean and quiet. The area between all the rooms is covered in grass which is nice, plus there's a little covered area with chairs, hammocks etc. O, and another large table with chairs at the front. Isabella is a beautiful island.

i stayed in the presidential suite with oprah, and i must say that it was simply divine. never wanted to leave! the view from our room was outlooking the entire pacific ocean and the room service was comparable to that of the ritz carlton, with a staff just as friendly and welcoming.
