Stayed two nights while exploring the island. Hotel offers only breakfast, no lunch, nor dinner. Clean rooms with view over the beach, literally across the road. Could watch pelicans, boobies and frigate birds dive into the ocean, and by strolling down to the beach observe penguins and sea lions.

Hotel Albemarle was one of the nicest places we stayed during our trip to the Galapagos. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom amenities were modern and it was hard to beat our 2nd floor balcony overlooking the ocean. Great little spot with a helpful staff.

A small , friendly hotel right on the beach on the very laid back Island of Isabella in Galápagos. Swimming with sea lions and ugly iguanas wandering along the sand were part of the magic. A few palms trees, glorious sunsets and friendly staff . What else could you want.?

The room was wonderful. The location is amazing. But the staff at Albemarle was the best. They greeted me when I arrived with a watermelon smoothie, and helped me confirm my day trip reservations including my transportation when I left.

Room 101 is an afterthought to an otherwise nice hotel. It is a dungeon that instead of water torture has an old air conditioner that will crank up every 30 minutes or so destroying any hope of a night's sleep. The only view is from a little window that looks right onto the breakfast table of a morning guest. One...

Stayed here 3 nights in september. The staff must be specially commended for helpfulness. A few of our party fell seriously sick from food posioning, and the young lady at the front desk dropped everything to walk them to the hospital. She then went and checked on them regularly, and even brought home made chicken soup ! As for the...

The hotel is not quite as luxurious as the website photos might appear, but still a wonderful place to stay. And if I had it to do over again, I would still stay there. The location is on the beach, right behind the main street and plaza in town (the town is not very big. Only 2000 people). None of...

We really enjoyed our stay here as the rooms were large and comfortable, the breakfast was varied and plentiful and the staff were friendly. The hotel is on the beach front so we spent some lovely evenings walking around the rocks searching for iguanas. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we asked anything. There was free wifi in the...

The hotel has the benefit of being right opposite the beach across a sandy 'road', there are palm trees all around and the location is perfect. The square with restaurants is just behind the hotel. Bring lots of cash with you as there are no ATMs on the island and no banks. Only two restaurants take credit cards. The hotel...

Thank goodness for this hotel! It salvaged our time on Isabela. Before arriving, we had already organized lodging for the week. Unfortunately, that initial hotel was subpar…we had to leave after the first night. Walking around the dirt roads of Puerto Villamil, we wandered in to Hotel Albemarle. We had not expectations of getting an affordable room, but we were...
