Chez Manany Galapagos is a true gem! What an amazing stay at a beautiful, serene, and most comfortable lodge!

We had a family of 7 including grandparents and kids and booked all three accommodations having the whole place to ourselves. The areas were spacious, beautifully designed and decorated, and had everything one needs to enjoy an already amazing destination. Walking in after a long journey, seeing the architecture, the pomegranate tree, the landscaping, the lookout tower, it took our breath away!

The location was very walkable (4 min) to the ferry/tour port, as well as the beautiful snorkel and beach spots, but still feels secluded. The town is a 5 minute bike ride or $3 cab ride to stock up on groceries or visit the main beach and restaurants. It was great to have access to the bustle of town and be able to retreat to comfort and seclusion. Also, there is wi-fi, a well-equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms. There is a natural breeze and fans (we did not miss the lack of AC at all). There are bikes for shopping trips.

Perhaps the best part is Manany, an amazing person that made us feel like family! She helped orient us to everything in Isabela, help arranged private tours that were just spectacular, and worked with us on check in and check out to accommodate our schedules. She is a great resource who is excited to share her beautiful home and amazing island. The caretaker on site Martha was also very kind and helpful, even providing laundry (worth the extra!).

In summary, a truly amazing find! Thank you Manany!

I stayed for three nights with my family in a wonderful apartment at Chez Manany. The location was excellent -- quiet and private, but a short and charming walk to town. The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. There were three different balconies, all with hammocks, which were a great place to relax after a busy day. Highly recommended!

We loved the property. Great place to disconnect. The poor internet is all around the islands and I find it a big plus when traveling with the teenagers. The other reviews are very accurate. We stayed during month of July, so there was no mosquitos at all. The property is right next to "Concha Perla " snorkeling spot, absolutely incredible place when the animals return with the tide, take your time and you will see all of them- iguanas, penguins, turtles, sea lions and so forth. (For free). Manany helped us with the special requests as to organize fishing "Pesca vivencial " and to find a great cook for our catch. Basically we had a magical experience on the "enchanted" island, partially due to the pandemic. Very few tourists, all nature Galapagos has to offer to ourselves.

The appartement has two sleeping rooms, two bathrooms, three balconies, a kitchen and a lot of space. It was very clean. It is located near the port - about 10 minutes walk to the village. The owners are very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the island and activities.

Wow! This place is a piece of art, we stayed in the romantic suite and everything is designed perfectly. The kitchen has everything you need. It’s located near the port and close to town but far enough away that you feel more relaxed. There is an herb garden with lemongrass, valerian, peppermint, spearmint and more that you can use for cooking or herbal tea. The place is super romantic and great for couples!

Manany is amazing! She made us feel so at home. She helped us book several amazing tours while we were in Isabela. She went above and beyond, we forgot a sentimental clothing item and Manany found a way to get it to us in San Cristobal. Overall incredible place, great location and the best hospitality.

We travelled to Galpagos with a group of 10 divers and spent few days in each island before our liveaboard. We stayed with Chez Manany in Isabela and everyone absolutely loved the place. The location is excellent as it is the only stay 2 minutes walk to the path that leads to Concha de Perla the best snorkelling in isabela and to the pier where the ferries arrive and any boat tours leave from. Then it is only 10 minutes walk to town or a 2 minute/2$ taxi ride...and you really don t go to isabela to hang in Puerto Villamil... The property is very charming and confortable especially designed to maximize energy efficiency and run off the grid. We loved the eco approach and it did not take away at all from any comfort. We were only asked to not be wasteful with electricity leaving lights and fans of when going out that is really something that should be done anywhere anyway. Manany is the most wonderful host, and such a warm and welcoming person and will go out of her way to help in anything you may need. I highly recommend to contact her before going and she will help you sort out your entire Isabela stay. She booked for us a couple of great tours with the best locally owned professional agencies and everything was impeccable. Also follow her advise on restaurants and you will be very looked after. With our group she also allowed us to check in very early and stay well after checkout time as the bookings allowed for it without any extra charge. I could not recommend the place more

We stayed here at end of December with wife and two children ages 9 and 11. We stayed the the top floor of the apartment. Here are some highlights of our stay.
1. Customer service was excellent. Email communication throughout the booking process and afterwards was so nice. Manany was so helpful with all questions.
2. The room was so nice and spacious. The out door balconies with hammocks my kids loved.
3. The walk into town about 10 min not bad at all. We did not encounter any dogs. We also rented bikes in town which was a very easy bike ride. The island is safe and so easy to bike around.
4. No ac takes some getting used to but the fans are excellent. If though you get hot easy, this may be an issue.
5. Mosquitos some nights but overall not a major issue. Mosquito plug in coils may be nice to provide.
6. Had some issues with ants first day but Manany quickly helped. She was always so helpful.

Overall excellent stay and service. I highly recommend.

Very beautiful apartment near the port and Concha de la perla in green surroundings. Lots of balconies with hammocks. We had an apartment with two nice bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room for six adults, in fact the sofa bed is two small for two adult persons, for children totally okay. The apartment is very well kept, but it’s a little bit off putting, that’s there’s a price list for breaking a glass (10 dollars, wine glass 15 dollars) or for soiling a towel with acne medication (20 dollars) or if towel replacement needed 30 dollars. There’s even a whole information sheet about guest’s responsibilities and even if some of them concerning water use etc. are absolutely helpful, I think a reminder to switch out the lights when leaving or that all accidental damage will be charged to my account a little overdone. Probably there have been some bad experiences on the owner’s side… Overall it was a very nice stay (and we did’nt break anything).

Chez Manany is a beautiful, clean and thoughtfully designed apartment on Isabela. It is walking distance from the port and Concha de Perla, and walking (or biking) distance to Puerto Villamil (our two children, aged 11 and 7, made the walk easily). Isabela was a great place to vacation as a family, as we were able to enjoy all the Galapagos "must sees" (e.g. marine iguanas, boobies, volcanos, snorkeling, tortoises) within walking distance. The kitchen was well supplied and made cooking our own meals easy. Manany is an incredibly helpful host, providing us with detailed information, helping to plan several day trips (Los Tuneles was amazing!), and helping us navigate last-minute COVID vaccination changes. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and will hopefully be back again soon!

NO AIR CONDITIONER! This was not disclosed on the listing or in any communication prior to arrival. There are stand fans for each room, however when we left for the day, the caretaker came in our rooms and turned them off and asked us not to run them unless we were in the room. I understand being eco-friendly, but the place was so hot that we couldn't sit inside. We had to go to the roof at night for respite. Most of the places on this island have AC, so this was not the norm or expected. The place is beautiful, and the location is convenient, however the number and strict nature of the rules is excessive. The owner was not on site while we were there, and we were uncomfortable that the caretaker was in our unit while we were not there. we did not need, nor expect any housekeeping services as this is more of a condo type unit than a hotel room. Unfortunate experience given the intent and beauty of the place.
