Upon our arrival,fifteen minutes after booking a room with a King Size bed, staff directed us to the hotel's secured free parking lot. The receptionist politely apologized that the King Size Bedroom was not available, but generously upgraded our reservation to a spacious Suite Size Room with glass enclosed large elevated bathtub shower with plenty of hot water pressure. The room was nice and spacious, facing the open courtyard with water features. The climate controlled room was well supplied with Espresso machine, complimentary bottled water, high speed wifi, cable tv and other amenities. Staff are very helpful and friendly always ready to assist their guests. Menu Select Choices on the Free Breakfast is included with free coffee refills was a plus. My tamales were so delicious, but give yourself extra time because service was very slow that day. Very close to city main plaza center which is only a walkable 2 short blocks away. Comfortable hotel, well located. Good breakfast. Modern, minimalist look inside a traditional outside. Roof top patio-good view, nice place for a drink after a long day. They will provide a box lunch if you are going to be out all day.

This hotel is by far the worst with noise level. Minimalistic decor, glass and cement structure with open spaces. Bar noise, staff rearranging furniture at late hours of the night made this hotel a nightmare. The rooms are comfortable enough - except window shades are sheer and lights from the garden/ street area shine in. If you need rest to function next day, this hotel might not be a good choice.

We found this lovely little hotel based on its Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. Hotel Nak'An Secreto Maya is a clean, modern hotel in an excellent location, only 2 1/2 blocks from the main plaza. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed, there is plenty of hot water in the shower and toiletries are provided. The free wifi is excellent in all areas of the hotel and a full American breakfast is included in the extremely reasonable price. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful and some speak English. If you are planning to visit Comitan, I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Nak'An Secreto Maya.

We planned to stay here after reading great reviews. Here's what happened. We had price listed on Internet. At the desk, the price was about 400 pesos higher. Every other hotel on our vacation in Chiapas discounted the posted price. Manager would not. We opted to stay anyway because the lobby looked cute. We asked to see the room and he refused to show us. Now, we are long time travelers and I can say never before were we refused a look before signing in. This was not a communication difficulty. He stated it was policy not to show. We left puzzled but easily found another nice hotel at the 400p lower price.
