This place is amazing. If you like birds, peace & tranquility then this is the place for you. My family & I rented cabin #5, which is the only deluxe cabin (cabin #18 is a deluxe casita), and it was super nice. Clean, well equipped and roomy. The staff at the gift shop are really nice & welcoming. The bird... More

My son and I stayed here prior to a hike we planned to do in the area. It was very nice. The Cabin (#5) was very comfortable. We watched the football game and had some wine and cheese. I loved it. The next time I'll bring the Mrs. After we did our hike the next day we stopped by the... More

Very enjoyable stay for two nights in this quiet canyon lodge. As an older lodge in a more remote location it is not glitzy and loaded with electronics, but for a quiet stay in a fabulous birding location with amazing birds coming to their feeders, this can not be beat. We stayed in Casita #10, which had a nice view... More

We stayed in casita #2. It had a nice view of the stream below. However, the next casita had a little deck where one could sit and look at the feeders (#4). The hummingbirds were still present, although it was pretty late in the season. I would like to see numbers put on the hummingbird feeders the way they are... More

Very enjoyable in this unique bird habitat. The cabin was quiet although we enjoyed the river rushing by. Lots of birds, pleasant workers and the cooler mountain canyon. The bed was good, the cabin quiet. Note there is no food closer than 25 minutes.

Don't expect the 4Seasons. But for what it is, very good. Air conditioning worked well. Bed was good. Room was clean. Shower not so good but amenities galore. No restaurant - you have to drive to Green Valley about 20 minutes for food. But there's a kitchenette so bring your own. Staff exceptionally nice. WIFI slow but working.

If you love birds, especially humming birds, Madera Canyon is an excellent location to see a myriad of them and Santa Rita Lodge is a great place to stay if you want quick access. We stayed in one of the cabins which was quiet and comfortable. The bed was fine and there was plenty of room to move around. We... More

A great place to stay, especially if you're a birder. The feeding stations are a great place to see many species of hummingbirds, some otherwise seen only in Mexico, or elsewhere along the border. The only thing I would suggest is to have a hook on the back of the bathroom door for your clothes. There isn't anyplace to put... More

Came to view birds, especially hummingbirds, and this was a great spot. Tons of birds with a nice seating area. Met other birders and learned some new things. Our room was very cozy. Bring food to fix in your room. No restaurant there. But kitchens in rooms. We will be back.

Madera Canyon is famous as a birding destination and it did not disappoint. Our cabin next to the feeder area had turkeys in the front yard. All the cabins are but a short walk to the feeders which attract a variety to birds all day long. There are a number of hiking trails in the canyon which I would love... More
