Stayed here three nights and had a great time!! This place . . its idyllic. Everything is so nicely set up. I have never been somewhere before where the staff makes such an effort on entertaining there guests. This makes for a great atmosphere. The best part of surfing turtle though, is in my opinion the way they keep their...

We got a bit off on the wrong foot with this place..when we were dropped off from the boat there was no horse and cart waiting for us to take our bags which is what we had previously read that happens. Instead we had to trek for 20 minutes(it felt like hours) with heavy bags in the midday sun on...

I stayed in this hostel for a night with two friends and we absolutely loved our stay! Everything was perfect. The surfing turtle lodge is a little, hidden paradise in Nicaragua. There are lots of hang out areas with hammocks, comfy chairs, sofas, etc. We slept in a very spacious, clean room with private bathroom and good matresses. The staff...

We spent 2 nights in one of Surfing Turtle's 3 beachside cabanas for the price of $60 a night. The cabanas truly are beachside with a great view of the ocean and the constant sound of waves crashing. The community at the hostel is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and does a great job at bringing everyone together to...

The hostel was very nice and a cool place which you have to reach by car, boat and a short walk. Nothing else around. There were many options for activities, like volleyball, yoga, game night, surfing and so. The food was not the best in our opinion.

Another place that is hard to get to, certainly, but its remote location is part of its charm. I took a taxi directly to the water's edge (which was very expensive) and then a small boat picks you up and takes you a very short ride to the island for $1 - a horse cart will then carry your stuff...

Only having a week for a vacation my girlfriend and I chose to head to Nicaragua and lucked out when we booked the Surfing Turtle Lodge for that week. Amazing atmosphere if you're looking to unwind meet great people and have a "off the beaten path" experience. It was super easy to book shuttles to and from the airport, and...

We stayed here for one night and it was lovely. Very relaxing!! Good food good wifi good showers good staff. Turtles are a bonus! The guy who hatches the turtles is a genuine legend. Be aware of sand in places you never knew you could get sand. Go and enjoy!

Our taxi driver kind of messed up when we were traveling to our new hostel. We were dropped off at a restaurant and asked for The Lazy Turtle hostel. The staff directed us outside, where a small fishing boat just moored. We were asked to hop on, cross the water and walk for 10 to 15 minutes. When we got...

This was one of our favourite places! Beautiful beach, beautiful rooms. We ended up staying an extra night. Loved the daily volleyball tournament they put on and we even got to release some turtles. The staff are amazing. Every night they have a game night but if you don't want to participate it isn't necessary. Brady and Tom, you guys...
