Had a business lunch meeting with clients and for a very reasonable fee we were provided with a comfortable private conference room. Made to feel most welcome as soon as we entered the hotel and were given excellent service by all the staff. Lunch and coffee were first class. The only reservation I had was the continual piped music which...

Very nice personal Service, escorted by cheerful lady to our spotless room with lovely comfortable bed and shower and complementary mini bar. Breakfast was excellent and the gardens were lovely. Set in a lovely old village with two great pubs. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation!

When we booked the pictures showed a lovely old hotel which is exactly what we were looking for. Surprised to find on arrival that the old is reception, bar and restaurant. Rooms are in a modern block next door. Rooms were good but like staying in a modern chain hotel - not what we wanted Food was good and staff...

I was sorry to read that you were disappointed with your room. We do have 10 rooms in the main house, each of these is unique, however, these too are very modern in decor. The main house rooms on the back of the hotel also have great views. We will always do our best to accommodate requests for main house...

My husband & I were given a Golden Spa Day as a Christmas gift which we decided to use recently(on his birthday). It included tea/coffee on arrival, an hour treatment in the spa (with full use of its facilities) and a two course meal with a glass of champagne each. From start to finish the time we spent at Lanes...

The Lanes is a beautiful converted rectory with added rooms and apartments in separate blocks. I stayed in one of the apartments, which was very large with a beautiful outlook from the bedroom and the lounge area onto the garden. I was greeted by a squirrel and very fat pigeon :) Recommended for exploring Somerset and the Jurassic coast.

we went to lanes for a 3 course lunch two weeks ago. We found the menu to be limited and after ordering the burger the waitress returned to tell us they had run out of burgers. We were the only diners in the restaurant at that time(12.30). Ended up having Fish and chips. Chips were soggy. Sweets again limited to...

Lanes is a perfect blend of traditional and modern. Beautiful grounds and old stone walls contrast nicely with the modern touch of the new wing. Delicious food in the restaurant. Comfortable accommodations with very friendly staff make this an easy choice. Lauren was great at the bar with timely drinks and friendly banter. I came for work but I would...

I stayed for the first time on a business trip at the recommendation of a colleague. I loved it, the place has a lovely mix of old and new, traditional and modern. I stayed in one of the rooms in the main house. The room was huge and had everything I needed and more, tea and coffee making facilities with...
