Popped in here hoping for late lunch. Staff immediately welcoming and friendly and took drink order from our table. We had a vegan with us and the staff here went above and beyond in order to cater for her. They couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. Food was also excellent and very well priced, unfortunately didn't have room for...

My wife and I had wonderful four night stay (7-10April) and couldn't have chosen a nicer location. Our room was large and clean, (I wanted to nick the shower pump),the Boss and staff looked after us very well and the breakfasts and evening dinners were briliant. The regulars in the bar were very friendly, suggesting trips out,Stourhead gardens half an hour away.All...

We ate here as a party of six on a Saturday evening. We ate early at 6.30pm as one member of our party works nights. There is quite a small menu which we were all able to choose from and the fish and chips were very tasty, I asked for ordinary peas rather than mushy but that choice was not...

We visited the Mildmay Arms Last year and had a fantastic roast one Sunday, so thought we would bring all the family back for Mothers Day. The food was amazing, hot and fresh. Good portion sizes and so tasty. Most of us had the roast dinner, lamb, beef or pork, One rissoto and my one had the fish. All of...

We decided to drop in for a late lunch/early dinner yesterday. Unfortunately we walked in on a rather sombre gathering as there was no sign on the door. We considered leaving but we were hungry. The ham egg and chips were very nice especially the chips which were lovely. We did struggle somewhat with the lack of plates as the...

First time we have visited and we couldn't fault the food, service, nor the welcoming atmosphere. We were beaten by the main, very pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes on all courses. Our puddings were amazing! Thank you once again and we will be back without a doubt.

First time here for a birthday visit. Good menu choice and nice setting. All the staff were pleasant and made us feel welcome. Will go again especially when the weather is better to sample the outside seating.

Great stay with welcoming and helpful staff, dinner was fantastic and even had a pudding. Room was clean and modern with ample tea and coffee facilities. Great location for an event at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Highly recommended for both business and leisure

Had another lovely meal whilst my son visited on 22nd January. We had the beef, with Yorkshire pudding of course. We did have a long wait but were told upon arriving due to the number of people there we would, but its such a nice place with a good atmosphere and we weren't in a rush - gave us a...

I have just had a brilliant three night stay here. The room was clean, spacious, well appointed and had a big shower cubical with a really strong, hot shower unit, just the ticket after a hard days work. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and made my stay a pleasant one. Both the full English and the continental breakfasts...
