Nice looking country pub, abit grotty inside but good food , nice and hot and big portions. Accommodation is acceptable. Beds are hard and uncomfortable , cleaning isn't fantasitic found a lot of dust around skirting board and bottom of the radiator. Nail varnish stains on bathroom towel. Overall not a bad experience but not great.

Reading the previous reviews about rude staff made me a bit tentative to go, as I have two large dogs and some places see us/them as a chore to accommodate. Walked in, couldn't of been welcomed better with the dogs, found a table that suited both parties, staff as pleasant as you'd want. Full of conversation! Food portions were LARGE!...

My wife were in the Yeovil area last week visiting my elderly mother and stayed 4 nights. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the ensuite bathroom/shower equipped with plenty of towels etc. The highlight however remains the bar/restaurant where the range and quality of the food on the regular menu, when coupled with the daily specials, just...

I visited with my mum, dad, partner and our baby, all staff were very welcoming and we're happy to stop and chat to my son. I had cauliflower cheese with garlic bread, the cauliflower cheese was lovely and cheesy and the garlic bread was the best I've had in a long time, on what seemed like homemade bread. The two...

Lunchtime meet up with friends and order wide variety. Lunchtime meals around £6.99 and a large enough meal for anytime. Good ham egg and chips, pie and veg, crab cakes and salad, ricotta and spinach cannelloni (with jacket potato, only weird thing). Another friend had sea bass and it was lovely. Would recommend (maybe book if possible as gets busy)...

Rude staff, been there 3 times,as family with a baby they were looking at us questioningly as we brought my little one,so not a family place, another time with friends and now for the last time ever just me and my husband. We went there every time for the mushrooms and pate as we like those starters. But every time...

We visited tonight for a meal with friends. Following our main course, we tried to order puddings, only to be told there was no one available to serve puddings, even though it was only 9:10. For a food pub which advertises meals until 9pm, I would expect to be able to have a main course at 9pm and then a...
