Charming friendly and accommodating Hosts Relaxing Peaceful place to stay. Lovely comfortable rooms Excellent hearty Breakfast to set you up for the day. Convenient situation for site seeing and Ampleforth Abbey

Restful, rich natural beauty, friendly and generous hosts. The area boasts ancient footpaths through oak and sycamore forests, great rural views, fresh spring water, rich bird population, Benedictine monks singing at complines down the road at Ampleforth Abbey and peace and comfort. I shall treasure memories of the area forever.

We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at Carr House Farm, From the lovely friendly welcome on our arrival to breakfast on our last day we were not disappointed, Anna greeted us with a warm welcome & showed us our accommodation which was very spacious & clean, fresh milk & sweet treats left in our room each...

If you like hot water bottles placed in your bed, scones to take on you journey home and puppies then this is the place for you. Remember however that it is a working farm and does not offer the facilities of larger B&Bs. Situated in an isolated location it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife. This is our second visit here and won't be the last! Accommodation and breakfast was excellent. A beautiful setting too, and a visit to see their dogs is a must, they are gorgeous!! Would not hesitate to recommend this charming place and will visit again for sure!

The countryside is so beautiful and peaceful and Carr House Farm is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are really beautifully decorated and lovely and warm even when its snowing outside! Anna's breakfast is huge, hearty and delicious and she kept tempting me with other tasty morsels too. She even presented me with a bag of homemade cheese scones...

Just got back from a 2 night break at Carr House Farm. Me and my partner Cannot say enough great things about this place , the room was very nice and clean , Anna + Jack our hosts where fantastic , on our arrival Anna brought warm tea cakes , quiches and breadsticks to our room ( lovely ) ....

From first arriving we had a warm and friendly welcome , homemade cakes and other treats were a nice touch . To come back on an evening and find your bed turned down a hot water bottle in and chocolates on your pillow was very kind . Outstanding breakfast kept us going all day , very comfortable and warm ....

We stayed at Carr House with Anna and Jack for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. Welcomed into a warm environment, where we could feel at home instantly, we had a perfect venture point to explore North Yorkshire. Our room was spacious, tidy and comfortable. This B&B was excellent. Large rooms with comfortable beds and many little extras to help you have a pleasant stay such as home made biscuits on arrival. A delicious large full English breakfast is provided. This is a very peaceful area, within easy driving distance to towns and countryside. Anna has been there for many years and this shows in...
