I stayed here for 3 nights. This is my third visit. I stayed in one of the chalets. The location is fantastic. Lovely walk through the sand dunes to a deserted beach. The food is amazing. Every meal a delight. Great value for money wines. The service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. This place really is well run....

We stayed for 4 nights as part of a Beach and Bush family holiday. My husband and I were both celebrating birthdays and as our young adult children were both in the country and able to join us, we decided on a 4 day beach then 4 day bush holiday. Oyster Bay Lodge proved the perfect place to start our...

We stayed here for two nights as part of our road trip to Cape Town from Jo'burg. It was recommended to us, and it turned out to be a good recommendation. The Lodge is set some distance off of the main road, and as a result its a very relaxing place to be. The beach is a 10 minute walk...

Other recent reviewers haven't mentioned the fact that this lodge is set in it's own carefully managed nature reserve. We are particularly interested in birds, and had a lovely relaxing time just wandering around with binoculars, listening to bird song and identifying many species new to us. As for the accommodation, food and service, we confirm as others have said,...

As a guest house manager myself I always expect good service from fellow establishments. Oyster bay Lodge indeed exceeded my expectations. With great service, lovely setting and beach views, makes this the perfect getaway for any couple. Spoil yourself to a horseback ride on the beach  I look forward to our next visit!

The only expression that adequately expresses our stay is "Super Fantastic". An unspoilt Eden hidden in the Eastern Cape with a totally private beach. The hosts were great, ensuring that our every need was met. The horseback beach ride was a truly wonderful experience and something that we can't wait to do again. Our chalet was more than comfortable and...

Most enjoyable stay, personalised, excellent service from the owners and staff. Picturesque setting from the rooms with views of the sea and beautifull country side. The lodge is close enough to towns but also isolated enough to totally unwined and enjoy this lovely quiet, peaceful part of South Africa whilst living in luxury. We enjoyed a dune safari which gave...

We had a very pleasant stay. The total concept of the accommodation makes our stay unforgettable. The private beach is very beautiful (we were totally alone, the surrounding is amazing, soft sand beach). We remember the treatment of the staff: From the beginning till the end they give us a feeling to be a welcome guest. The real holiday feeling...
