Me and my partner came here for 3 nights end of July for my 30th birthday and it was wonderful. Beautiful place and very welcoming. We didn't take our own tent we done the rent a tent and it was a very good sized double pod tent. The kitchen area was lovely and sitting outside in the evening with the... More

We have just returned from a week away at this beautiful woodland site. Wander round and choose your pitch then sit back, light the fire, open a bottle and relax. The tarp shelter, bench and filing cabinet (food safe!) are a brilliant idea. Greg and Liz are both really friendly and helpful.

Booked to stay here for just a night but once on site we were charmed and booked for a further two nights. You literally feel like you are wild camping on your own but with the convenience of showers and toilets. Reception is easy to find on arrival - follow the signs from the main road down a track to... Plenty of parking at arrival point, but if you hit poor weather, it may be a bit muddy. We left our shoes in the car for days out and just wore wore boots on the campsite. The pitches are all just off a long, circular stoney path. Some have tents already pitched available for rent, so you don't have to... More

Fantastic place, deep dark rural Devon, a breath away from Dartmoor. Campsite is lush, very green with its maintained but natured forests to camp in. The tent and air bed is a perfect size for 2 adults. Comes with a great dry area to sit in and cook or whatever (we chose cards and rum) couldn't recommend high enough. Will... More

We visited here on our motorbike, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming, but not intrusively so. They are obviously into biking too and Greg even emailed me a load of info afterwards about adventure biking to Morocco, which was really nice. This is a wild campsite so you can't take your vehicle down to the pitch, which means... More

Myself and my husband booked for a week, arriving Saturday 27th August. On arrival the owner was sat with his feet up and without moving pointed to a car parking space on a stoney gravel space filled with water filled pot holes. This I assume was the warm welcome, mentioned in the reviews. We parked up and was given a... More

Have just been on a long bank hloiday visit to this wonderful eco-friendly campsite and had a marvellous time to spite the rain. Greg makes such a good welcome to his guests and you feel at home as soon as you have a fire lit and the tent up. They've added a little cafe for breakfasts which was a very... More
