The Fijnbos Lodge is a lovely quaint place in beautiful Bettys Bay. We were welcomed by William who made us feel very comfortable and the room and the communal spaces were all very nice. We would recommend this place again and will likely stay here again next time we are in Bettys Bay.

The hosts were simply amazing. The room was clean and well appointed. The photos on their website were up to date . Breakfasts were absolutely delicious and made by the owner John (I dream about those breakfasts). His ‘man Friday’ William was just so pleasant and hard working. I highly recommend Fijnbos. I would definitely visit again. Nothing was too much trouble for their guests.

Service was good. Close to shops and beach. Property itself needs some attention. Room door catch to be replaced and front door latch was issue to open at night. Shower/bath combination leaking very badly onto floor.Maybe a different room next time.

I was fortunate to have met the owner as I booked in, they are still in the process of fixing up the property BUT I can already see this becoming a very popular destination.
The lodge have a lot of character, it's 5 - 7mins to the beach and just around the corner of the local pub, which turned out to be just as nice. The locals are inviting, easy to talk to and just like the owner of Fijnbos, very accommodating to visitors.

Greeted on arrival by slightly disinterested assistant who could have given us the heads-up on the local loadshedding schedule, which happened twice during our stay. Accepted that loadshedding is beyond the establishment’s control, but two rickety candles without matches is a poor alternative. Room itself OK, although front door had to be locked to keep it closed. Bathroom straight out of the 70’s, very fancy shower head, but over-bath with inadequate splash screen. Water control handle broken and came off during operation. Although advertised as B&B, breakfast is additional (however, we were expecting this). In summary, we were expecting more at that rate, and will not be back.

Great place. Friendly hosts. Beach in walking distance. Comfortable room. Lovely lounge dining room areas. Unfortunately no dstv, water leak over shower bath, musty smell as one opens the door of the room.

This slightly quirky place was delightful as was our host William.
Loved the setting, the comfy rooms and the value for money. Breakfast ( a small extra charge) was plentiful with lovely fresh fruit, juice, yoghourt, granola, and the option of bacon and eggs.
Fabulous new restaurant just over the road where we had an excellent dinner.

A terrible place. I booked online via booking.com for me and my daughter of 15 and paid. Arrive at establishment the owner charged me extra for a minor and disregarded my booking and terms of booking. Carpets filthy dirty and smelling. Will never recommend it to anyone
