One of the most stunning sites on the South Downs, just a few miles from Brighton. Own tents and 'Glamping' with 2x Shepherds Huts facing the sunset a 16' Summer Open Shutter Shepdherd's Hut for up to 2 Adults and 2 children, and a beautiful 14' Orchard Shepherds Hut for up to 2 adults and 1 child. Only 7 own tent pitches are generous and individually spaced with own fire pits. Its an eco campsite to love, with beautiful mineral water, barn owls, skylarks, glow worms, orchids and a huge amount of space.

I can't think of a more perfect campsite where you can feel totally relaxed and connected to nature. The most beautiful camping field with "pods" mown into the long grasses and wild flowers. Gorgeous views. Secluded. Considering it's off-grid the washing up and bathroom facilities are brilliant; open air with hot water on tap. Beki was wonderful and we will definitely be back! xx

Would highly recommend taking a trip to Chantry Farm. There are perfectly formed camping pods mown into the bottom of a gently sloped field. Facilities are all eco friendly and well thought through. I don’t usually expect a hot water shower when ‘roughing it’ so found this particularly delightful. The owner / manager is super friendly and helpful and suggested some lovely walks in the surrounding area. Book soon as camping will definitely be the holiday of choice this year and next...

At first i was unsure what to expect having never been to that small of a campsite but, as soon as me and a group of 3 others left the main road we immediately felt we had made the right decision. It is a beautiful spot tucked away from the stress of everyday life were you are able to get back to basics with the beautuiful wild flower meadow (was in season when i went both times), the simple, clean toilet block and the friendliness of the staff aswell as a welcoming sense from other campers.
It is obviously a well cared for campsite with lots of space and not feeling like your disturbing other campers.

can't wait to go again!!

This is the most beautiful location with the most stunning views. I like to spend sometime each year staying in a shepherds hut in the orchard. A time to get away from the stresses and strains of normal life. As soon as you arrive you can feel a welcoming breeze blow over you. Within a few hours you feel completely at peace with life. What a joy to stop and listen and to look up at the sky it’s the best medicine I know.

This campsite is a rare gem. It is in the South Downs dark skies area and surrounded by so much wildlife that our 2 night stay gave us barn owls, bats, shooting stars, common lizards, Saturn and Jupiter. Our kids love the freedom of running around the fields and the bucket showers and innovative toilets add to the relaxing and blessedly technologically free camp. We go every year and always come home refreshed.

We had a genuinely wonderful camp at Chantry farm, very private, with loads of space, super eco-friendly and clean. One of the benefits is if you run out of supplies you can just pop down to the local shop or garage to get what you needed.

The location was something of a lucky surprise. We had no idea it was so close the magical landscape and bronze age forts of Wolstonbury Hill. 10 minutes from Brighton beach we returned each night to watch the sunset and sit around our open fires laughing and reflecting on life.

We were lucky enough to view the film they had made about the area which made us feel really connected to the land. It is also a botanical, haven for chalkland medicinal Plants an inspiring place to connect with nature.

Will definitely come again.

We spent 9 days camping at Chantry Farm at the end of June/beginning of July.
There was so much space within the meadow and we loved the eco friendly facilities and feeling so immersed in nature.
The owner, Beki has thoughtfully created a stunning space which is peaceful and welcoming.
Really close to Brighton, Hove and surrounding areas but it feels a world away from the city. We loved watching the foxes, bats and glow worms every evening.
Beki was a fabulous host and we are pleased we decided to spend so much time there, discovering more every day. ❤️

Me and my partner has such a fab time here last week :) It was lovely to chat away to Beki and hear so much about how it began and where it could go, we felt inspired and refreshed after our stay. The most spacious pitch was provided, with what felt like so much privacy. The eco-friendly principles are an extra perk; it's always enlightening to see how comfortable you can be without the surplus 'necessities' of consumerist living. The pub is so close, the views are so spectacular from the hill (360 view!!) and the atmosphere is so relaxed. I recommend this place to everyone that wants to experience a blissful time camping. Thank you so much, we hope to come back soon!

I have been there few times and I like that it is quiet because it has limited private pitches compared to other camp sites where it is cramped with vans and other things in a small area. This campsite is close to London which is a great bonus and I think it is difficult to find such a place near cities. Recently, I went there with my family to celebrate my 14 year old dog’s birthday and he always loves it there. That time I was there, the farm owner gave my family a herbal spa session using produce and wild herbs grown within the vicinity. That was such a nice experience and I came back home feeling fresh!

If you are looking for somewhere to escape to and get back to the basics of life, here it is! Lighting fires, simple one pot cooking, sunsets, birds and trees. Off grid and self sufficient, with the comfiest bed, The blue hut was the perfect haven to retreat to. Highly recommended.
