Detailed Reviews
I had a very warm welcome from Karen and Jonathan and a beautiful, quiet double ensuite room overlooking the South Downs. There were multiple choices for breakfast. I had the eggs benedict which was delicious and made a nice change from a full English breakfast. Overall it felt like visiting friends or family and a B & B can't get better than that. The Plough Inn is only a 2 minute walk away. Thoroughly recommended and very good value!

This modest, cozy home has 2 second story guest rooms that were perfect for us and our traveling companions and was easily accessible from the South Downs Way hiking path. There is no nearby town but a fun and excellent pub, the Plough, is easily walkable as is a gas station with some convenience store items. Jonathan, our host, made sure we had everything for a comfortable stay and prepared an excellent breakfast which we enjoyed in a cheerful glassed-in room overlooking the back yard. When he realized my friend and I were unable to get a ride to Lewes until late morning, he went out of his way to drive us himself which we greatly appreciated.

My wife and I stayed at Kingsley House recently whilst walking in the area and couldn't have been happier with it. Jonathan and Karen couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable. Would recommend to anyone!

After a fairly gruelling off road cycle this was the perfect overnight stop for us and we really couldn't have asked for more. Karen provided us with an extremely warm welcome and provided us with tea and cake, exactly what we needed after feeling physically and emotionally drained from the punishing cycle.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, and both Karen and Johnathon were extremely welcoming and made the four of us feel incredibly relaxed. They both worked as a great team to make us a fantastic breakfast, which had plenty of choice on the menu, and being rather awkward we all requested slightly different breakfasts, which included two Full English breakfasts (one with fried eggs the other with poached), Eggs Benedict and an Eggs Royale. They fully catered for us with a coffee and a variety of different teas, cereals, yogurt (dairy and soya for my sister's intolerance to lactose) and fruit.
By the end of the stay we all felt rested and well fed, which really helped us power through with the final day of our 3 day cycling excursion.
Really brilliant hosts and outstanding service, we would definitely all stay again!
