Absolutely brilliant spot right on the water. Comfortable motel rooms and cabins with a view of the water! Yes I stayed in that is available including a caravan and all but a tent. The amenities are clean and serviced regularly:-)

We stayed in the Motel Units, everything was clean and comfortable. All facilities included. Sofa Beds aren't always the most comfortable sleep though. They are pet friendly, so our little dog had a ball as well.

My husband and two sons stayed for two nights on the last days of Dec 2016. It is a neat campground that my husband knew from going to on family hols from his days growing up in Auckland. It's off the beaten track and is a gift to anyone who wants to sit back and relax. Me, being an Aussie,...

We loved it here! Thick, grassy sites, right on beach, clean, nice looking facilities and such friendly staff! Fridge & freezer in kitchen. Everything is well maintained and looked after. Will be one of our favourites!

We escaped work for a few days & needed somewhere peaceful to relax....well, we couldn't have found a nicer spot. Almost had the place to ourselves for most of our 4-day stay. A powered site was very spacious, showers clean & tidy. Kitchen great - but warning, no accessories available there like saucepans or cutlery. Right on the beach &...

This is one of three campgrounds on the Whangaruru harbour. The beach is great for swimming and also for easy boat launching. There is a small shop with a few items for sale..the toilet and kitchen block is situated above the main camp area and is clean and tidy. The Oakura Bay store is a great shop where you can...

Friendly team, on the phone & in person. Great to hear the sea at night. You can camp right on the waters edge and have the choice of several beaches, right out front or over the hill to Oakura (walking distance) where you can surf and there is a small shop. My children had so much fun with the other...

Stayed one night in my tent here. When I arrived it was raining but Kelvin who works there, could not have been more helpful! So genuine and cares about his campers/holiday makers. Even though it was peak season showers were lovely and hot, community kitchen was clean and a great size. There is something magic about sleeping to the sound...
