My husband and I stayed at Prince County B&B for a few days when we visited PEI last week and it will be difficult to top this B&B. Herb is such a wonderful host. He makes amazing breakfasts and he's a really nice guy! Our room was perfect and more comfortable then our Ottawa apartment. It was nice to mingle with other guests in the common dining room during breakfast. I highly reccomend this place and will definitely stay here again the next time I visit PEI :) THANKS HERB!!

My family and I had an amazing stay at the Prince County Bed and Breakfast. Everything was super clean and the decor was amazing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that breakfast took a while to come. To get breakfast you have to use a voucher at a nearby restaurant.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Historic, interesting, charming accommodation with real character. Herb was the best host; great to chat with him and it was so good that he joined us for breakfast. The breakfast is provided just next door at the new Cook's Corner café - order whatever you like from their menu - it's included in the room price. This was a great start to amazing PEI - we could not have chosen a better B and B. Thanks Herb (and Roger).

First off, Prince County is no longer a B&B, but a "Guest House", so breakfast is no longer included. When we arrived, I called the number in the booking to get the access code for the room and it went straight to voice mail. We knocked on the door to the kitchen (for the pub) and the fellow could not speak English well, so another gentleman came out shortly. He showed us the room and gave us a business card with the door code (do they give the same info to each guest? not very secure). We found our room - Stewart (No. 5) - had enough room and was fine for a night. Please note: If you are staying in rooms 4 or 5, they overlook a covered outdoor verandah on the second floor that is accessible to all guests, so we kept our curtains closed. Also, these rooms are above the kitchen (for the pub), so could hear voices/noise, but it did not go on late.

Our arrival at Prince County Bed and Breakfast was the start of a disappointing stay.

Check in is only from 3-6 pm we were traveling and arrived at8:30 pm to find an envelope pinned to the outside door frame with our name and room access code, which we did not think was very secure.

Inside the front door there is a sign requiring guests to remove foot ware prior to going to ones room.
Our room was located on the third floor which meant that one had to carry luggage up two narrow stair cases.
The room was very small and had a stale smoke smell.
The room was musty and both my and I began sneezing.
We had to keep both the window open and kept the window air conditioning running all of the time.
There was a tiny bathroom in the room.
The toilet was on a pedestal about two inches off the floor the corners of which proved to be a constant area to stub ones toes.
The shower stall and I mean stall was something else, barely enough room to turn around and the temperature control was non existent the water temperature went from comfortable to either freezing cold or scolding hot in an instant.

The breakfast portion of the bed and breakfast consisted of a walk across the street to a greasy spoon diner.
Although the house Has a well equipped kitchen we were not encouraged to use the facilities.
The note on the door had advised us to pay for the stay the morning after our arrival.
It was as though we were imposing and the host was not very informative about the area or things to do or see.

I would not recommend this establishment

I was pleasantly surprised to have a gluten-free waffle, toast and banana bread amidst the delicious egg dishes and fresh fruit. (Let Herb or Roger know ahead of time about gluten issues) Juice and tea/coffee were offered, also. Herb is an excellent host and made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a wrap-around porch with tables and umbrellas and an upstairs porch with seating and table. There are two sitting rooms downstairs available for use by guests. The rooms were clean and the location was great - near Summerside and within walking distance to a museum, post office and next to a convenience store. We stayed 5 nights with 2 other couples and loved our stay.

This bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations and was consistent with the majority of opinions expressed by other visitors.

The accomodation is in an old heritage house that is both quirky and charming. The place is extremely well cared for by Herb and his partner and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Five Stars!

This was an outstanding B&B!

We knew it was a good sign when he asked us when WE would like our breakfast instead of informing us when it was being served. He choose a kid-friendly menu that was amazing The rooms were EXTREMELY clean and well appointed with a microwave and fridge (in the suite where we stayed). We ate a picnic dinner on the covered patio overlooking the fields during a thunderstorm and it was lovely.

It was also very close to the Confederation Trail where we went for a bike ride and the bottle houses in Cap Egmont.

It is so nice and so close to Summerside that we would never stay in Summerside again - we'll just go here!

As an innkeeper myself, I am constantly comparing my stays at other B&Bs with my own. This B&B rates a 10 out of 10 in every category. The house is comfortable, the rooms immaculate, the bathrooms large and sparkling, and the breakfast is tasty and filling. But the best thing about Prince County B&B are the hosts. Herb and Roger are friendly, willing to do just about anything for their guests, and are attentive without being intrusive. We highly recommend a stay at this great B&B

A wonderful one night stay as we were going to the theater in Summerside which was only 10 minutes.
Quiet location, ample paved parking, lovely outdoor seating, ice for your room, super clean. Lots of stairs if on 3rd floor.
Amazing breakfast!!! Lovely owners.
