We stayed at Kingfish Lodge recently and were absolutely delighted after having not been there for many years. The rooms have been very tastefully renovated. The bar has all of it's original interesting photos and bits & pieces. The deck down by the water front was a great spot for an evening drink with our friends watching the sunset &...

Kingfish Lodge excelled, despite being without electricity for the first 26 hours (power pole blown down in extreme weather preceding our stay). Idyllic location for a 2 night stay and special birthday celebration. The new owners have really done the place up and the service was top notch. Even running on a 5kw portable generator they managed to serve up...

On a 2 night stay, we enjoyed the seclusion of Kingfish Lodge. We met the 'water taxi' for a 4pm sailing to the lodge, a great way to say goodbye to the car and mobile phone reception. The trip over was slow with about 4 couples heading out but that just added to the start of the relaxation. The boat...

Thankyou for taking the time to write such a detailed and informative report, which will undoubtedly help assist future visitors. Your encouragement is appreciated and means a lot to our entire KFL team. Thankyou also for clarifying how a stay at Kingfish Lodge is primarily for REST and RELAXATION, but for the more energetic there are several local walks and...

Had not been back to this place in years after it fell into disrepair over a long period. Totally different now. the rooms are full refurbished, and many many cases rebuilt.. The room shave luxury fittings, linen, carpets and curtains and they are generous and spacious. The views, of course, have always been special but this lodge now has a...

Having read the negative report on the New Years Eve we feel a more balanced point of view is required. There was plastic cutlery and the buffet was served but what was not mentioned was the enormous amount of finger food served continuously for 3 hours prior to the buffet and there was so much that many people did not...

Kingfish Lodge is only accessible by water down the beautiful Whangaroa Harbour by complimentary shuttle or as a visiting boatie you can moor at the resort. But that is only the beginning. The relatively new owners Jacqui and Jeremy are upgrading the resort, the older rooms are more than adequate, the upgraded rooms are wonderful. The staff at the Lodge...

My first visit to the North Island of NZ and by far the best place we stayed in was Kingfish Lodge. We stayed in the partly renovated section of the lodge and found the accommodation terrific, clean, comfortable and nicely presented also they were located on the ocean front with great views. Then we saw the newly fully renovated rooms...

This is a very special part of New Zealand and a must do if you're travelling through the Far North. We stayed at Kingfish Lodge for three nights and it was probably one of the more memorable trips I've had in New Zealand. Right from when I called to book a room, the owner, Jeremy, was accomodating and helpful. The...
