Ok....I've stayed in alot of motels and hotels. This place is the worst! As soon as we opened the door to the room it was a slap in the face of old stale cigarette smoke. The shower curtain was yellow and nicotine stains running down the walls. The ceiling was stained and the smoke detector was yellow from nicotine. Absolutely disgusting. We tried airing the room out. Went and bought febreeze and carpet fresh and it still smelled like dirty stale cigarettes. We eneded up bunking in our friends room which wasn't any better. I can't believe they haven't been reported for allowing guests to smoke in the rooms. We checked for bed bugs and it was clear but the rooms aren't clean the bathroom is dirty and floors are sticky. Absolutely repulsive!!! Shame on the people who run this place!!

Terrible! Called in to book a room last minute while in a snow storm and the guy wouldn’t let me have a room for me my 2 kids and husband. Told him the conditions and would not let me have the room(it only had one bed). I think I should be able to decide my limits while driving and knowing when I need a room and how serious it is. Shame on him!

Due to dangerous weather conditions causing the highway to become closed, I was forced to stay here as I was unable to preceed further on my journey. The Forest Plaza Motel in Mount Forest is the filtiest, most disgusting motel, with an unheated room along with an odour that even a complete bottle of Febreeze could not remove. I would not even bring my suitcase into the room with me, fearing what might try to attach itself to it when I checked out. The owner controls the heat and refused to turn it up in spite of repeated requests. I could not sleep even with my coat on and escaped the following morning as soon as the highway was opened. When I returned home, the coat and clothes that I had worn during the night at this motel, were left in the garage until they could be washed with bleach in the hottest water and dried on the highest heat setting. I too hit our shower immediately upon entering our house also using the hottest water I could tolerate. Since then, I have contacted the Board of Health as well as the BBB regarding this establishment. Please be warned - never, ever stay here!

Had a horrible smell to it, carpets were disgusting and stained, pubic hairs in the beds, uncontrolled heat and the jerk owner refused to turn it up, dirty socks in the drawers and condoms on the floor, clearly they don't clean it. Couldn't drink enough booze to make it any better. Showered as soon as I left! Literally found a booger on the bed, I would rather sleep on the street in the rain! Complete waste of money, take the extra 15 minutes and drive to Varney. Its cheaper and better. Sleep at own risk....

Smoky, smelly, filthy best describe this place. It was late and I was very tired - had to stop. This is really a dive. Plan ahead better than I did and carry-on to somewhere else.

Stayed here because of an unexpected family issue, and we needed to be in town. It was filthy, no hot water, smelled terrible, young people were coming to another room and leaving out the back way of the motel?? This sure is a DIVE. Can't express enough how bad the stay was here.

What a dump!!! Owner wanted a fortune for a room. Would not accommodate our request. Wanted almost $120 each and I would have been taking 2 rooms. When I told him I had a room in Owen Sound on the lake front for only $90 per room, he said, "Go stay there then." That did it. I freaked and told him to put his rooms where patty put the ball. Being a woman, his mouth dropped to his chest. He is of East Indian descent and he didn't like it that I had the balls to tell him that. I don't mind people coming here and opening businesses, but they should have respect when they come to our country. He just lost a $ 203 stay. I drove the 2.2 hours to home, even though we were all exhausted. That was my grandsons idea, so even young people know that he shouldn't be treating his customers this way. The old adage, "the customer is always right" really did count in this case. I would sleep along side the road or under a railroad bridge before I EVER stayed here. A real dive. WARNING!!! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!

Went for car show, was only 1.5 hours from home but thought we would stay over and relax. The room was clean, but very run down, They still have the old fashion bed spreads on the beds. There were holes in the sheets, the bathroom door had been patched many times. The room needs a overhaul...needs new linens, paint on the walls, furniture every thing was run down. It did have a newer flat screen TV. It is on the main street, walking distance to everything. We sat outside our room after the car show to just relax and have a drink and all we could smell the the hotel owners supper cooking...a very strong smell of curry,,,would I stay here again, not useless they cut their rates in half.$100 a night for this motel is to much!!
In our option this hotel is OVER priced for what you are getting, No pool, NO breakfast. Run down...but rooms were clean.

Stayed at this hotel for work made the mistake of paying for the month in advance. 2 days into my month long hotel stay raw sewage backed up into the tub in my washroom.
Yeah Gross!!!!!
Contacted management he came out and cleaned it up and blamed it on one of the guests a few rooms down. I asked for a new room because it stunk like feces. He aplogized and said none were available.I asked for my money back he said no (When i pointed out my car was the only vehicle in the parking lot he said he would check again.) Then I pulled out my laptop and started leaving this review. When the manager looked over my shoulder and seen what i was doing he left and came back with a key for another room. Worst stay at a hotel ever. The internet sucked. The owners were too cheap to buy the proper size sheets for the bed so every night i would wake up numerous times to refit the sheet because the last thing i wanted to do was put my bare skin on the mattress. The tv has like 10 channels no tsn no sportsnet all junk. I was 80 kms away from the blue jays making the playoffs for the first time in 22 years and couldn't even watch the game. then hockey season started and I couldn't even watch a hockey game!!!! Sad! you get what you pay for here it was a cheaper motel but the level of shittyness was astounding.Lazy cleaning staff I would have to put my garbage directly in front of the door so cleaning staff would trip over it in order to get my garbage removed. Dirty handprints all over the walls from a previous guest. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have traveled 8 months a year for work for the last 5 years and this is number 1 on my worst hotels list. The level of shittyness of this hotel was the catalyst in me becoming a trip advisor reviewer. Dont you or anyone you love ever stay here.

I travel all over southern On.for my work and this has got to be the worst place that I have ever stayed. The owner was very rude ,the rooms a disgrace, there was holes in the bathroom ceiling the linen and towels were very worn and stained ,The carpets were very dirty For $ 99.00 per night it is a rip off I would not stay there again if it was free.Take a short drive to Palmerson and stay at the Kings Inn its well above average, very clean the owner goes beyond making you feel at home and its $ 25.00 cheaper.
