We had such a lovely time here. Breakfast is great, lots of variety and fresh produce! Also, the staff is wonderful, always smiling and just giving you a perfect sense of relaxation. Will be back for sure!
Hotel Badehaus Goor is on the south side of the island Rügen. The closest railway station is Lauterbach Mole (7000 meters, 8 minutes walk) the very last stop on the railway from Bergen auf Rügen and also on the narrow-gauge steam railway which is the quickest way to get to Binz. Note that that foot path between the hotel and the station is not in Google Maps, but in the reality. This hotel is an old classic vacation resort. Most people come here to enjoy the pools and the surroundings. This is a calm place far away from the bustling Binz. Room was nice. Big enough and clean. Comfortable bed. A lovely balcony and a big bath room. The spa-area is nice, but less exciting than what I expected. Two pools and a hot tub type of pool. Everything is indoors. There are no ocean beaches around the hotel. Just a walk next to the shore line. The dinner restaurant offered a buffet. Restaurant is in the beautiful old part of the hotel. Food was ok, but nothing extra. Breakfast likewise. Air conditioning worked fine. Free and fast Wi-Fi. Extraordinary helpful and friendly staff. Spoke good English. I can recommend the hotel. But the price is high compared to what you get.…
This was a real joy to visit, beautifully appointed rooms, lavish decor and the most beautiful location. The food was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms could do with air conditioning especially as it was around 100 degrees, but overall fantastic!
We had a comfortable and enjoyable weekend here, but the hotel lacks the polish to make it really great. The imposing columned facade lacks a clear front entrance. Which door? No staff greets you. The tables set out on the large porch aren’t particularly inviting, despite the sea views - they’re a little dirty, with full ashtrays. The room we had, in the old part of the hotel, was spacious and comfortable. It could have used a light in the entryway so we could see to pack and unpack. Robes were generously sized, and the spa facilities were top notch. Enjoyed the pools, saunas, chaises, and hot herbal tea. Hotel breakfasts were the best of our meals. We found the dinner menu limited and the food rather uninspired. Bar was just ok. Servers just ok. The hotel is full of wonderful plants and art depicting Ruegen. The setting is serene - probably even more appreciated in high season, when the island is crowded. We’d definitely come back, but we weren’t blown away. …
Having read some of the reviews , we approached this hotel with a bit of trepidation. However , we were blown away by the place. Restaurant , truly excellent food although table staff were a little slow. Breakfast - fabulous . Such a vast selection all beautifully presented and lots of surprises Spa - extremely good with a wide range of modern facilities . Best of all the reception staff could not have been more helpful. Definitely a place I would love to return to
