Compared to other guest houses, this resort is abit far from the Soppong town but it is not a problem for us as we rented a bike at Chiang Mai and traveled thorough the loop. They have standard and river view room, both with basic amenities, clean and the room rate is reasonably set. The staffs do not speak good English as mentioned by Lonely Planet however you can speak Mandarin to few of them. One of the thing that need improvement is the reception process as they do not have a proper reception area (probably they use the restaurant as the reception area) thus we find it difficult to find a proper person to ask about rooms and related matters. They served Thai-style porridge with coffee as breakfast.

Stay for a couple of nights in January'12. This hotel is one of the best in northern Thailand. Very nice surroundings, very clean, very friendly. One problem - staff do not speak English. If you are traveling to/from Pai/ Mae Hong Son - make a stop for a night.

Nature, green and calm, the best in this area. Good food and coffee. worth your money. all staff and the owner are so friend, however they might not speak good english, but they service is good. Road to this resort is very beautiful but lots of curves and up and down on the hill, get yourself a car sick pill.

I have stop for a lunch in this small resort. It is located just in town on the main road. The resort is also sit on river bank, nice view.
The town is between Pai and Mae hong son.
The resort is new; therefore, clean. They also have a nice coffee shop and tiny restaurant service. Set menu is very reasonable price.

This is a lovely stop-over and longer stay hotel on the way to Mae Hong Son, on route 1095, with mountain views above a river, surrounded by rocks and tropical flora. The accommodation is in individual chalets or bungalows with balconies, hot showers, air-con, multi-channel tv, toiletries, dressing table and desk area and large, comfy beds. Breakfast is a little basic but eggs are to order and Thai food freshly cooked. Fantastic photo opportunities and a job to drag yourself away in order to reach Mae Hong Son! Highly recommended.
