Many friends have asked us why we don't try new resorts in the Carib. Simple answer....if you only can take such a trip every tear or so, why risk being disappointed? We've visited Guana around 15 times now, and have loved every visit.

My wife and I honeymooned to Guana in April 2015. We had an absolute blast and were blown away by the sheer beauty and complexity of Guana island. There are miles of hiking trails leading to hidden/private beaches. We are quite an active couple, as we backpacked our snorkeling gear, fly and spinning rods to 6 different beaches. To say... More

How in the world will I ever be able to take another vacation any place else after spending a week on Guana Island? I am so screwed! I thought Paradise was an elusive concept that would never be defined in my lifetime. Well, I was wrong. I found it here. Let me whip through what the others before me have... More

After reading so much about Guana our expectations were high... but we were really not ready for the great time we enjoyed in this wonderful place. From the very first moment when you make contact with the staff to know more about Guana to the very last minute when you throw the Hibiscus flower as the boat leaves the beach,... More

This is a remarkable place for a few guests set on a private island. The beach is perfectly soft. The surroundings are serene. The staff anticipates your needs. The food is lovely and sometimes very special. The wines are thoughtfully selected and excellent accompaniments for the food. There are hiking trails, water sports, tennis courts and solitude if you wish.

Another trip to Guana and we wonder why we waited so long to return. The food seemed to have gotten even better somehow! Again the staff were fantastic and fantastically absent when you wanted them to be also. Quiet and romantic, we got up with the sun and hiked while it was relatively cool and to work up an appetite... More

Guana Island was overall an exquisite experience with lots to offer. PROs: -My husband and I have very high standards when it comes to food, and I'm very happy to say that Guana Island is one of the only resorts I've stayed at that has thoroughly impressed me with the variety and quality of their food. The fish and seafood... More

Thank you for the time you spent providing feedback. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, and we’re pleased to hear that your overall impressions were positive and that you had a memorable time. We wholeheartedly agree that the recent spike in jellyfish activity was not pleasant, especially when you are trying to enjoy the lovely Caribbean waters, but we must... More

Luxurious yet understated! Everything imaginable at your finger tips while being one with nature. A true paradise. The few guest rooms and villas are snuggled into the hill side and wrapped in the vegetation which teams with birds, gecko's, and fragrant tropical flowers. Exquisite food by a master chef and the island orchard provides fresh fruits and vegetables picked and... More

This is the first time ever that I've been tempted to play down a place in order to keep it to myself. Guana Island is, in my opinion, the perfect peaceful retreat. Don't expect high-style luxury appointments, piped-in music or nightlife: Guana is really a nature preserve that happens to have a very small, very comfortable resort in the middle... More
