The West Winds Yorkshire Tea Rooms is a traditional tea room tucked away in an attractive little cottage off the beaten track. It has a good variety of cakes and tea is served in a china cup. The tea room has a good atmosphere and the staff (and chief cake maker) are very pleasant and make you feel very welcome....

We stopped for afternoon tea at west winds today and it was fantastic. The scones were lovey and most and the Easter simnel cake was delicious! A lovely little spot to stop and is open until 5:30 most days so perfect if you're a little late for afternoon tea. Friendly proprietors and it feels like you've been voted for tea...

Three of us spent a night at West Winds, for some peace and quiet and a walk in the Dales. We used all three rooms, which worked well with the shared bathroom. The rooms are sweet, cosy and nicely old fashioned. Nice to have a really hot bath. The tea and cake when we arrived and the breakfast were lovely...

If you require an en-suite bathroom and other fancy gadgets, read no further .... go and book a hotel room! Simplicity and calm sum up this delightful B&B. The welcoming "tea & cake" and Lynn's gentle manner set the tone for a most enjoyable stay on each occasion. Lynn's home-made cakes are excellent - nothing prepackaged or artificial here! The...

We stayed here on our walk of the Dales Way, it was the perfect stop. We were welcomed with tea and cake by Stephen and, when finished, shown to our lovely room (room two). We dined in the Buck Inn next door which was excellent then retired for a very peaceful nights sleep. The chocolates in the room were very...

So glad we stayed here. Arrived too late for tea and cake but was given some of the latter to take on our journey the next day. The porridge was great - as was everything really. As a vegetarian I especially appreciated this aspect of their food which is home made or locally sourced. Not "posh" but with a real...

We have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. Each visit has been restorative. It is an idyllic haven...tranquil, peaceful with friendly supportive owners. The food(homemade cakes, fresh homemade meals, breakfast and brilliant packed lunches) are all part of the West Winds experience..The value is excellent and the location for walking and enjoying Upper Wharfedale/Dales Way is unbeatable. The hospitable owners...

Very homely venue. Being greeted with tea and lovely cake was a treat. The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The setting is idyllic and the proximity of the local pub for an evening meal meant the stay was very pleasant.

Went for afternoon tea and cakes. Sat outside in the small garden and took in the views of the surrounding rolling countryside. Friendly staff, good service. An enjoyable experience. Worth returning to.

Mrts Thornborrow and staff work very hard to maintain a very high standard of hospitality and food. The single room was very comfortable with a tv, fruit bowl and chocolates as well as the usual tea and coffee. It had a shared bathroom but this caused no problems at all. The cake in the tea room was home made and...
