Hotel's Favourite
The moment we got off our international flight and cleared immigration, we were met by a Taj Coral Reef representative at arrivals. Within minutes, we were then escorted to a private boat for transfer to the island. Arriving at the island we were met by one of the hotel staff who greeted us with traditional soft drink made of mixed berries. We were escorted a few metres past the unique reception area, open air restaurant Bokkura, where we had all our sumptuous breakfasts and a few dinners and the bar where we had most lunches and drinks during our stay. Right behind the bar, was the South American restaurant adjoining the infinity pool and a lagoon area which was perfect for snorkelling and to watch the diverse marine life as well as the Taj's efforts to restore coral reefs etc. We were taken to our over-water villa - a semi detached property over the lagoon looking out to the ocean with a lot of privacy at the back. The room was very spacious and equipped with a nice king-size bed with plush pillows, a third bed (if required as we were 3 in our party). There was a separate storage area for luggage and the bathroom, equipped with a shower and full bath was rather spacious with open floor to ceiling windows towards the ocean. The outside deck was very beautiful with deck chairs and direct access to the lagoon. The food at all restaurants including the South American/Mexican restaurant with outside seating overlooking the infinity pool and lagoon were exceptional. Dinesh, the executive chef was always supervising the preparation and we had left the planing of our entire menu - all a la carte, in his care as the choice was vast and deciding on anything was the hardest part. The food was typically Taj quality and portions were extremely generous. The general manager Abnash Kumar is simply an amazing well educated and well travelled person who is a pleasure to talk to and we spent many an hour talking to him about the hotel and all his experiences in South Africa, India and esp. the Andamans. While the resort could do with a bit of a renovation and redevelopment, we are confident that Abnash will be very successful executing the project. The island is nice and compact. It has a full fledged Padi certified Dive centre and Tiiam was simply great escorting helping the novices to some guided open water snorkelling or even diving. The dive team were simply great and proficient. Sajanie in Bokkura was very personal at all times and made sure we were always taken care of during breakfasts/dinners. The resort had a well equipped gym and full feature Jiva spa. This was a very enjoyable 4-day break that we had prior to a longer stay at another island. Our special thanks to Dinesh, the exec chef, Satya the sous chef, Suman the bartender, Adam and Zain at reception and of course the entire team at Taj Coral Reef headed by Abnash Kumar for making our stay a thoroughly enjoyable one.…

Very happy with the hospitality service provided to us. Breakfast is so good that it didnt feel like we are having it out of India. Chef too is from India and and has always given us the Indian taste in meals. Alcohol beverages provided too with good cocktail mix ups

one of the best experience we had in the world. the resort hasthe best coral all around the island . you can spot stringrays , small sharks & with your snorkelling gears you can see the marine life in beach as well as in water villa . crystal clear water . no one can match there hospitality, every staff member gives you so much of respect . i took all inclusive package & had a blast there . they had the best indian food. though the island is small & little old property but you wont regret it . esp. shout out from side for mr. abdul , satish , adam , rana , shehnawaz & miss saajani , for making our stay memorable & for decorating the room as it was our anniversary.

We were family of 4 with Our daughter and Son - 21 & 18. Time visited – January 1 – 5, 2023. We had fabulous time at this resort. From Airport pick up to drop off 100% satisfied. We were greeted at Male airport by the hotel staff. The speed bote was literally walking distance after getting out of the airport. They handled our luggage from there to directly to our Villa. We were given cold water bottles. It was 45 mins ride to the resort where we were greeted with nice berry mocktail and welcome photo was taken. We were taken directly to our water villa where check in was completed. We were explained in detail about amenities in the resort. Restaurants: We were surprised to see that there was a la carte with full menu and seated dining for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Compared to many resorts we have stayed in Mexico and Caribbean Islands where Breakfast and Lunch are mostly Buffet style). There were multiple cuisine choices and in breakfast there was rotating menu from different Indian Cuisines. The staff there was very polite and was always ready to go out of the way to meet your expectations. Most waitstaff knew us by day to. My son liked Guava Juice and when he is not with us, they used to ask where is "Guava Juice"! I would like to thank Sajanie, Hussein, Kannan, Chanindra and Sneha for making our Taj experience memorable. The Chef would always come around during meal to ask us how was everything and if there is anything else they can do to make it better for us! Thanks to Chef Dinesh and Satya for providing world class food. Drinks: The drinks were made really really well including presentation to taste. We loved many Cocktails with Indian touch of Chat masala and tamarind chutney. We would spend hours sitting at the bar and chatting with other guests and the Bartenders. It was a full 6-8 pages menu including cocktails and mocktails. Our family got hooked up on few drinks so much that we did not get to try the whole drinks menu in 4 days vacation at this resort. I will have to come back to try rest of the drinks I missed. Our sincere thanks to Suman and Jude for providing us excellent drinks during our trip. Housekeeping: The villa was very well kept up including toiletries. The fridge was full as advertised on their website with Beer, Wine and soft drinks. (however drinks at the bar were so amazing we hardly used beverages in our room fridge)We would not know when our rooms were cleaned and beds were made at least two times a day I believe. This used to be taken care when we would check in to the restaurant for food I believe. If we were in the bed till late morning, never ever anyone knocked on our door for housekeeping. Excellent job housekeeping crew. I would like to thank Nadheem and Yaish for providing us best housekeeping during our stay. It is such a small island that we can walk the whole island in about 12-15 minutes. Its a great place for someone looking for quiet personal family time. We were able to see stingrays right from the beach. We were provided with snorkeling gears day one. We had done snorkeling many times in the past so we went right on and had a great experience with snorkeling. For people first time snorkeling, they had classes available for a nominal fee. I will highly recommend not to miss snorkeling experience at this resort. We saw so many fishes right in our backyard out of our water villa. It was breathtaking. Scuba - we loved scuba diving here at this resort. At first I thought they will take us somewhere by boat for Scuba, but we just swam right out of the beach in to the reef at the edge of our resort. It was one of the best Scuba experience we have ever had. (We had Scuba multiple times in the past)…

Had a great experience to remember for years... A great hospitality and service from the group of staff comprises Salim, Satya, Sajani, Husain and Rana at restaurant and bar made our vacation very special and memorable.
