This hotel is located about an hour drive from Bahía de las Águilas Beach. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Good breakfast. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. I stayed for 3 nights when visiting the area.

Spent 1,5 month in this hotel. Viviana&Gianni who run the property were generally just super friendly, accomodating, gracious and helpful. We felt like at home. We recommend Hotel Pedernales Italia to anyone who would like to be in cosy room with delicious breakfast/dinner and excellent service. Good WiFi connection. Gianni is strict but fair. A big heart. Viviana is a real cordon bleu. We were impressed with the food. They made our laundry for nothing and were always close for help. We had a great trip and they elevated it to an awesome stay! The value for the money cannot be beat! Love the fresh coffee served every morning. We didn’t even need to use the AC. Very clean and comfortable room. The neighborhood was surprisingly loud but it didn’t prevent me from falling soundly asleep. We loved staying here in order to visit the gorgeous Bahia de la Aguilas beach about 45 minutes away.

Hotel Pedernales Italia is a gem in Pedernales. My fiancé and I arrived here a night earlier than our reservation, flustered by some glitches in our trip to Pedernales from Santo Domingo and hoping with our pending reservation, the hosts here could help us figure out how to get to where we needed to be. They went above and beyond, driving us (for a very reasonable fee) to our place on the beach for the evening and picking us up at the beach the next day so we could stay with them. They shared nuggets of knowledge on the rides. The hotel itself is a lovely place with clean rooms, herbs grown on premise, and great cooking. The morning after our stay, the host volunteered to wake up at 430 to help us get to the bus back to Santo Domingo. I can’t speak highly enough about their hospitality. …

This is a no frills basic room hotel with on-site parking but the Italian couple’s attention made our Pedernales stay very comfortable. The service from Viviana and Gianni were excellent. Moved from our first night room (#5) because it was too warm. V’s food was scrumptious... her pasta dishes, salami de chocolate and jams were delicious! Recommendations of places to eat and which Bahia de Las Águilas tour company to use were spot on. Stay two nights so as not to rush your ‘Bahia’ trip. Payment by both cash and credit card accepted.
