A lovely resort set in crystal clear water just of the coast of Kota Kinabalu. The hotel suites are set into the tropical rainforest and the rooms are well presented all the extras you expect at the price. Beware there are three restaurants to choose from one of which has a dress code that isn't mentioned before you arrive. The...

A bit of a late post (we visited several years back). We had a brilliant stay here. The layout of the resort really complements their eco-friendly theme. The spicing and layout of the bungalows amongst the trees were great. The free and paid activities were a great way to get a taste of the local island and a means of...

Great service and their staff are very friendly. Very customer-oriented. Hotel room is clean and it's a great place for couples to have some quality time together. Enjoy movie under the stars at night.

Great sea view and Mt Kinabalu directly from the resort room. Staffs are all friendly. The resort is excellent for couple and family holidays. The resort organizes localized activities regularly. It was the best experience in KK!

After adventuring round Borneo we just wanted some peace & quiet & Gaya Island gave us just that. I do agree with some of the other reviews - this place is expensive. Definitely European prices & it's not easy to get on & off the island to avoid the expense. Do not go here if your looking for budget -...

Spent 6 nights here in total and it's a lovely, tranquil place in a beautiful location. Resort not too big so it never felt too crowded at all. Good check in and arrival procedure at the Jesselton Jetty on the main land for the short boat trip over to the island, where you receive a warm welcome from a number...

Spent 3 nights here as part of a multistop holiday. It is a beautiful place, very tranquil. Our lodge was lovely - air conditioned, enormous bathroom and bath with a big walk in shower. The windows around the bath opened to the outside but this was a bit pointless as ours overlooked the road! The staff in reception and the...

I have just left this resort after spending 6 days there with my husband. As a seasoned traveller I found this resort to be exceptional with all staff ranging from reception , domicillary and kitchens all to be extremely friendly and curtious at all times. Never is anything to much bother. The food was fantastic with a wide variety to...

I don't understand why this resort has such good opinions. Maybe we are to experienced in hotels management and traveling (during last 4 months we live only in hotels and visited around thousands hotels in our lifetime). Maybe the management in this resort has changed in last time? Anyway I will write my opinion about this place where we have...

Gloriously peaceful situation, magical views across to Mt Kinabalu, abundant wildlife and beautiful rooms. Aside from these obvious benefits the real joy of the place was the people who work there. Every member of staff we came across was incredibly friendly and helpful. My children were blown away by how thoughtful everyone was there, and for children who rarely notice...
